"GH" was the best soap this week IMO. Can't believe I'm saying this but that's the way I feel and I'm very happy about it. You could just feel that someone took the show over that knows what he's doing. I wished Robin's "death" would have been handled a little different but with great performances by the involved people I'm going to overlook it and wait to see how this story plays out with it's twist and turns.^^

"DAYS" comes in second. I loved Will, thought the kiss was amazing and maybe the best first kiss a Daytime soap opera has ever seen. LOVED Will's scenes with Marlena and Rafe/Sami/EJ/Nicole.
Everything else ... well "DAYS" is moving too slow. That's their problem and that's when I find myself bored...

I watch both GH & Days.

While GH had the death of Robin, everything was fast forward worthy... well except for Friday when Starr reappeared.

I voted for Days, even though it may be slow, I still would rather watch that then an entire episode of GH.

As a gay man who is turning 40 in 3 days and did not come out until he was 32 I cannot begin to tell you how much Will's story means to me. Amazing writing and performances by all. New viewers need to understand this is why Deidre Hall became a star. Beautiful!

What hooked me on soaps was how they took real life stories we related to and made them touch our hearts. The stories could have been about race, class, forbidden love or whatever. As long a people could relate we would watch. The last time I was touched this much was the BJ/Maxie heart transplant story. Kudos to DOOL for taking a chance. I hope they take more with the Will story.

Oh and I may be in the minority but I do not think Days is moving too slow. Keep me waiting as long as you can and then let me have it!

The airing of Ron Carlivati's first episodes as head writer + tour de force performances by Finola Hughes/Jason Thompson/John J York + the exciting first appearance of Starr Manning from OLTL = GH is back on my DVR recording list and IS the soap that will rule 2012!

Everett that story means alot to alot of us! You are not alone Smile
When Will was sobbing into Marlena's arms and getting all that acceptance, I wanted that to be me 30 years ago. Thank you Days for giving this ultra realistic story to the world. I wish more people were watching. It isn't just that it is the best soap on daytime, but it is doing something that is groundbreaking. It has put a gay young man front and center of the show and given us a look into his soul each step of his journey to self discovery. Thankyou to everyone involved in this!!!

Wow, when was the last time GH took best soap of the week? Good for them. I did watch and I was entertained much more than watching GW's stuff, but GH still left something to be desired for me. The most puzzling part of the week was Finola Hughes acting. First let me say I think she is an amazing actress! I've seen her do it all, but expected a bit more out of her for Robin's death. I feel like the character is either in shock or knows somethings the viewers don't. That combined with making it "all about Jason" as usual kinda got to me. Those things said, I'm still looking forward to next week and my fast forward button did not get as worn out as it did the last few months!

This week Days was the best soap to me with GH coming in a close second. Will and Marlena's scenes were the best of the week. I felt the characters emotions resonating through my tv screen. They were both fantastic!

I'm thinking Y&R is getting more even-toned in its story-telling, which is good for the long haul. If MAB and the Gang could just change Angelina's accent, and turn Kevin into a real crime boss-in-training, it would be a big plus.

DAYS rocked the house this past week! Between Will 's kiss, Rafe and Nicole found out EJ and Sami had sex, and Abby lashes out at Austin, it was amazing soap opera.

Days was best this week for me.All the story lines mentioned in all the positive posts and the setup for stories to come.Nicole's and Sami's/Will's upcoming plots should be fantastic.Lucas coming back and Nicole's wished for surprise. Can't wait.

Y&R boring all week.

B&B needs to move on from all Steffy/Liam/Hope for awhile.

GH robbed Robin fans.Nothing on this show I'm interested in watching anymore.

@Everett: Agnes famously said that you have got bring the right to the edge and then "make um wait." I don't want stories told in 6 weeks. I prefer my tales told over several years.

And yes my vote went for Days...But a certain other soap opera seems to be at the bottom of the list....hummmm... I'm just sayin'...

DAYS was the best soap this week with the buildup to the historic/groundbreaking scene of Will kissing a guy and then going to Marlena's to clear his head.

DAYS was by far the best soap of the week. For all of my complaints that the show moved too slowly,I thought this past week moved to swiftly! I wanted to savor the great moments. Besides the Will/Sami/Marlena scenes, we got victor and Maggie being adorable and I even like Ian Buchanan's addition to the cast.

GH has a long way to go to be the best soap of the week although I acknowledge the show improved this past week, mainly thanks to performances from Jason Thompson, Finola Hughes and John J. York. The death of Robin Scorpio was treated secondary to all things mob-related. The character and the audience deserved better.

Judging from some of the messageboards, a lot of people who say they are Days fans are ready to grab their pitchforks and torches out of the barn and go looking for Ken Corday and the writers. They hate the Will storyline that much.

I sure hope Days gains a lot of new viewers to make up for the bigoted ones it might have lost.

SoapArmageddon-according to We Love Soaps Days was the only soap the week of Feb 13-17 to gain viewers.I know that was before Will's kiss, but maybe it is a good sign.I'm a recent returnee because of losing OLTL and the terrible GH.Glad to be back.Hopefully good stories trump bigotry.

SoapArmagedeon all those bigots those pitchforks and torches can kiss my ass. Maybe their white hoods will catch fire. I just pray that Ken sticks by his guns. His mom god rest her soul, was forced to back down from this issue twice. It is tiresome to have all those stupid people sucessfully block every gay story on daytime when they don't have that same power on night time. Perhaps if they stick by their guns for once, Days will benefit from it with ratings.

@SoapArmageddon: Those same fans had no problem with demon possessions and serial killers. But this is good. Days aired a make-out session with little no media fanfare. Nor did Fox news go off the wagon. I think what you are going to see is what Agnes was use to. Some fans roaring off and then coming to accept things, because this being played by a legacy character. They work better than say what happened on OLTL when you have 2 characters tied to no one who come on eat-up the screentime from others. This is more organic and puts it in a different context.

Getting into the mind of a "bigot" is probably difficult since I am not one, but I cannot for the life of me figure it out! Okay, so you watch rape, murder, incest, brain chips, shootouts, mob wars, domestic violence, kidnapping, kids being run over by drunk drivers...but you can't watch a gay storyline once every 40 years? Uhhh. Okay I can see some uber religious people saying they don't believe in being gay and that its a sin (not like everything else I just mentions isn't), but I can almost understand it. BUT gay people do exist so what's the problem with watching it play out on screen? You aren't going to see much more than kissing and holding hands, maybe laying in bed after a "sex scene." Its daytime television. What are they afraid of?

DAYS and GH were neck and neck for me. DAYS got my nod because it was so good and a lot of storylines came to a very exciting head. I'm also proud that my favorite soap ever is doing something so groundbreaking. Yes, its sad that a "gay" storyline is groundbreaking in the year 2012, but better late than never. And I feel like they're doing it right. Who knows how long DAYS has to be around, but to me they are showing more respect and willingness to push this story than any soap I have ever seen.

GH was very good this week. Finola Hughes blew me away with her performances. She brought me to tears by trying to be strong. When she pounded the door after Mac walked out, I turned into a mess. Jason Thompson was amazing and to me he proved that if the time comes where he needs to be THE leading man he can be. Maybe he SHOULD be. There were other great performances and GH was moving at a crazy fast pace and I was into it all week. Yeah they threw some bullshit on the screen, but I believe those storylines are wrapping up and better to get it out of the way now than let it drag around and bog down screen time for any longer than it has to.

All-in-all I'm very happy with my soaps this week. I gave up on Y&R a couple months ago and have never gotten into B&B. So sad there's only 4.

GH will have to severely turn it around in order for me to name it best soap of the week. I grew up watching this show in the early 80s and then returned in the 90s when Luke and Laura returned. Bringing back veteran characters is a start but it's not enough, I need interesting story to keep me watching day after day. Sonny/Jason/Sam/Carly/The Mob needs to be toned down, or at least stop playing the same story day after day, month after month, year after year.

Carly used to be enjoyable when she was younger, insecure and came from nothing. She's still insecure but now she has money. I think she needs to be reminded of where she came from.

Jason has never been interesting, well ..I should say I found him interesting immediately after the accident, when he was learning who he was, before he connected with Sonny and the Mob.

Sonny, I'm not sure what to say as far as he's concerned, maybe a story where he fakes his death and leaves town for good?

Sam needs a story on her own away from Jason, maybe the story of who her father is that's been promised for so long?

When Felicia, Frisco, Kevin, Lucy, Laura, Scott, Alan, Emily, Georgie, AJ and Stefan return, maybe I'll consider calling it the best soap for the week but until then.... Days will always have my vote.

I could care less if there was a 3-second kiss between Will and another guy. In fact, maybe Will and his main buddy should have sex on-screen. Why not? Wasn't there something on ATWT like this a few years ago, too?

But what I do not like, is if Phyllis loses her edge on Y&R. Matter of fact, when are they going to put Red in a tight dress again?
