Is Alexis Being a Big, Ole' Hypocrite on General Hospital? (POLL)

The romance of legal eagle Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and newbie mob enforcer Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) has hit the skids on General Hospital, courtesy of the former Natasha Davidovich discovering the truth about Shawn's day job.

On today's episode of GH, Mama Davis takes Baby Daddy No. 2, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to task for ordering a hit on Franco (Roger Howarth). Little does she know, it was her mortal enemy, Carly Corinthos-Jacks (Laura Wright) who gave Shawn his license to maim.

While Alexis has every right to be peeved Shawn is such a sucky shot—he missed Franco by a mile and instead busted a cap in psychic Brooklynite, Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero)—isn't she being a bit of a hypocrite?

Shawn has already called her out on having mowed down Kristina's abusive teen lover like a stray blade of grass, but has Alexis forgotten about killing Luis Alcazar (Ted King)? What about the time she and frenemy Luke Spencer (Tony Geary) conspired to kill her nefarious stepmonster, Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers)?

All of that aside, this is Ms. Davis' second or third stint as Sonny's go-to attorney. She knows fully well how the dimpled coffee importer handles his disputes. So why all the righteous indigestion?

You tell us:

Is Alexis being a hypocrite, or is she entitled to her rage?

Alexis is being a massive hypocrite, she has worked overtime to get Sonny exonerated on all of his various crimes as his attorney plus she also had a kid with the guy. And that is not even taking into account her own crimes.
Also the way she is acting all shocked at what Shawn's job is when he works for Sonny. Let's ex-mercenary takes a job with a mobster...whatever could his duties entail? Did she think that with Shawn's skill set he was going to just be Sonny's driver?

She IS being a hypocrite. Didn't she also push Katherine Bell of a balcony once upon a time???

Having said that, I am glad to see Alexis back in her true form, a bitchy hypocrite. Can't wait to see if Sam's dad blows into town!

Alexis and Sean are boring me, so I don't care if she's being a hypocrite right now. I want Sam's dad to blow into town and see NLG get a helluva story from it!

She is being a hypocrite but she also has a right to be angry. This is Alexis thorough line as a character to be morally righteous when it suits her so I get it. I ALSO loved Sean calling her out but he forgot to mention she killed Luis Alcazar

What did she think would happen each time she got Sonny out of a legal jam? He was going to continue commit crimes, including murder. Not to mention the fact that she knew Shawn was working for Sonny. What did she think he was doing? Making BLT's for Sonny and his crew?

Of course she's being a hypocrite.

But lets be frank here, so is every woman on the show with any connection to mobbed or dangerous men.

Carly - Hello Ms. Hypocrite of century
Olivia - 'my cousin can't be with a man like sonny' to 'i'd do anything for you'. Hello.. not to mention Steve Webber.
Connie/Kate - can't be with 'dangerous' man Sonny but married another mobster
Sam - every time she slept with the hitman
Anna - Duke,(mob anyone?)

and my list could go on and on. The point is, every time someone on the show opens their mouth and talks about 'danger' and 'right and wrongs' then goes against it, they too are hypocrites... ain't that a SOAP?

Alexis has always been a hypocrite. I love her but mostly because she is molly, kristina and sams mother. This is the reason i havent ever fully embraced her character - she wants to have it both ways.

Why are we surprised by the hypocrisy of Natasha? I mean after all, she fits right in with Sonny and Carly, two of the most hypocritical characters in soap history. I just hope Ron continues to write this storyline in a way that Guza would never do and actually find someone accountable. Sean is too easy. Dominic needs to find out Sonny and Carly’s part in this and stop this bonding the father who shot his cop son bonding crap. I also hope Ron continues to write Police Chief Anna ‘Emma Peel’ Devane in a way that Guuuza would NEVER write Mac Scorpio; someone who will not allow Sonny to make the Port Charles police look like Keystone Cops fools. I really like this storyline, so far.
