Castle's Hedge Fund Homeboys

Castle was back for its third episode and this time Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) are solving the murders of two teens. This week's episode continued the show's string of solid episodes. While I enjoy Castle and am pleased with how it is evolving, the show doesn't seem to hook me the way that BONES does on FOX. I love the BONES-style dynamic betweek Castle and Beckett, but there is something I can't quite put my finger on that I think is missing. Not that I'm complaining, because I enjoy Castle way more than a Law & Order or CSI.

The episode was good but you're right, Luke, something was missing. It felt to me like there wasn't enough witty interation between them. I felt like I wanted the show to be more about the shows characters and less about the stupid prep school kids. The crime this week was pretty lame too. I mean, me and my roommate had it figured it out within the first 15 minutes of the show and I just wanted Castle to hurry up and figure it out. On the plus side tough, the scenes with him and his daughter were amazing and as always Susan Sullivan's portrayal of his mother had me lmao. I think this show is still trying to find itself and the proper balance between crime and characters. I bet in a couple more episodes it'll find it and it'll be fine. In the mean time, Nathan Fillion being on tv just makes me happy - lol!

I think the reason is that BONES did a better job making you care about EVERYBODY on staff and this show is really just a focus on two characters.

I mean really if you guys had not interviewed Seamus Deven I probably wouldn't have noticed him, or the fact that he was Ian on GH Lol, I think Castle is a really good show and i think a lot of my problems would be sorted out in the second season if it gets that far.

I really do love Castle and imo it is the best thing on in its timeslot lol, but that timeslot is the timeslot of death on all three networks so hopefully it will live....*Crosses fingers*

I love this show, I think it keeps getting better and better. I didn't mind that I knew what happened early on in the show it was just part of the fun.
