While Freeman appeared in several motion pictures (Malcolm X, Down In The Delta), his most lasting role was that of Capt. Ed Hall on ABC Daytime's One Life to Live from 1972-1987. He reprised the role briefly in 1988 and 2000. In recent years, Freeman taught at Howard University. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
