Mistresses Season Finale Sees Ratings Spike

ABC's summer breakout hit, Mistresses, scored big in the ratings Monday night. The primetime soap opera also claimed the top spot in the hour in women 18-49.

Mistresses Cast Lands Contract Extensions

Could there be more steamy affairs in store for ABC’s Mistresses? According to TVLine, the alphabet network has given the show’s core cast members an extension of their contract through the end of September. The article also teases the possibility such a move could be because the network is contemplating a second season for the summer series.

While not a spectacular ratings performer, Mistresses — which stars Milano, Jes Macallan, Rochelle Aytes and Yunjin Kim as a quartet of pals grappling with infidelity, stalkers, reappearing presumed-dead spouses and other juicy soap-opera tropes — has been holding its own on Mondays at 10/9c opposite CBS’ mighty Under the Dome
