Nia Long and Eddie Cibrian to Star in Tyler Perry’s Single Mom’s Club (TRAILER)

Soap graduates Nia Long and Eddie Cibrian are teaming up once again for a romantic comedy. The CBS Daytime alums will both star in Tyler Perry's Single Mom's Club.

The film follows the lives of five single mothers (Long, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Amy Smart, Zulay Henao and Coco Brown) who become good friends and create a support group for moms. The quartet establish their club after their children, who attend the same school, get into trouble.

In November, Long and Cibrian both starred in the hit sequel The Best Man Holiday. The Single Mom's Club hits theaters March 14. Check out the trailer below.

Best Man Holiday Starring Guiding Light Alums Stuns Hollywood With $30 Million Opening Weekend

Once again Hollyweird is scratching its collective head over how an urban (translation: black) film could "over perform" to the tune of a $30.6 million opening weekend at the box office. The Best Man Holiday didn't over perform, as much as it was underestimated — just like Think Like a Man and at least half a dozen rom-coms starring predominantly black casts before it in recent years.

The sudsy sequel to Malcolm D. Lee's 1999's sleeper hit The Best Man, reunited the original cast for another game of friends, lovers and rivals. This time around, novelist Harper (Guiding Light alum Taye Diggs) finds himself contending with writers' block, a precariously pregnant wife (Sanaa Latham's Robyn) and a stalled career. When he and Robyn are invited to the sprawling, Gatsby-esque estate of his former best friend, New York Giants' runningback Lance (Morris Chestnut) and Lance's near-angelic wife Mia (Diary of Single Mom's Monica Calhoun), Lance sees it as an opportunity to turn his fortunes around.

The Young and the Restless star Angell Conwell and former Genoa City bad boy Eddie Cibrian were among the stars who walked the red carpet at the premiere of The Best Man Holiday. Watch Nia Long Give Eddie Cibrian Some Sweet, Brown Sugah in The Best Man Holiday! (TRAILER)

Harper, Lance, Quentin, Mia, Jordan and the rest of the gang will all be back on the big screen this November in The Best Man Holiday! The long-anticipated sequel to Malcolm D. Lee's soapy 1999 flick, The Best Man, reunites Guiding Light alums Taye Diggs (Harper) and Nia Long (Jordan) with Morris Chestnut (Lance), Sanaa Lathan (Robin), Monica Calhoun (Mia), Harold Perrineau (Julian), Regina Hall (Candy), Terrence Howard (Quentin) and Melissa de Sousa (Shelby). Also along for what is sure to be another scandalous ride, is The Young and the Restless and Sunset Beach bad boy Eddie Cibrian as Jordan's man, Brian!

In the original flick, Harper's Peyton Place-style novel about his college days set the drama straight OFF, once his friends began to figure out which of his characters each were based on. The most stunned—and infuriated—turned out to be Harper's best friend, Lance, who realized his boy had banged his new bride, Mia, back when they were coeds.

I can't wait to find out what kind of hot, messy, goodness Harper causes in The Best Man Holiday. Watch the trailer below!

Country Crooner’s Affair With Ex-Young and Restless Bad Boy Inspired New CD

Relationship drama has been the source of inspiration for countless singers; it looks like the same is true for LeAnn Rimes. The country warbler sat down with People to talk about her new album Spitfire and the affair with Eddie Cibrian (ex-Matt, The Young and the Restless; ex-Cole, Sunset Beach) which led to the breakup of both their marriages. Here's an excerpt:
The songs on her new album Spitfire, out June 4, chronicle the drama and include an apology to her ex-husband Dean Sheremet. "I broke the sweetest heart of the only man that's ever loved me," she laments in "What Have I Done." She shares the experience of being a mistress in "Borrowed" and offers an olive branch to a woman scorned in "Just a Girl Like You", which many will assume is aimed at Cibrian's ex Brandi Glanville.

For those who may have been living under a rock at the time, back in 2009 Cibrian and Rimes got together while filming the Lifetime movie Northern Lights. Both were married, so of course the celebrity news world lapped up the story's twists and turns like kittens in front of a bowl of cream.
