Remember last summer when Daytime Confidential's Jamey Giddens spilled some serious tea about shakeups at The Talk? Let me refresh your memory. Remini tweeted:

The Talk To Return For Another Season

CBS has renewed The Talk for another season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. CBS' answer to ABC's The View has held steady in the ratings, averaging 2.2 million viewers since its debut. Check out what Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment, had to say about The Talk after the jump.
After only a few months on the air, The Talk has delivered creative and ratings growth and established a strong profile in daytime. The co-hosts have clicked together, the topics have connected with the audience and the show has added a new dimension to our top-rated daytime line-up.  We're excited about its current success and the potential to grow and evolve 'The Talk' even further.
I wonder if this will have any effect on the rest of daytime, i.e. the soaps?

Leah Remini Added To CBS Talk Show

Add Leah Remini to the list of CBS talk show hosts. According to Deadline TV, the actress has been added to the hosting lineup of CBS's upcoming View-esque chat-fest, which is in the running to replace As The World Turns in September. Along with Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete and Julie Chen (wife of CBS chairman Les Moonves), Remini will delve into topics through a mom's perspective. This isn't the first show The King of Queens star has hosted. In 2007, she hosted nine webisodes of In The Motherhood with late night talk show host Chelsea Handler and Jenny McCarthy.
