The CW Renews TVD, Jane the Virgin and Six More Series

The CW has handed out early renewals to eight series. From long-running dramas Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries, to newcomers The Flash and Jane The Virgin, several of the netlet's shows will be back for the 2015-16 TV season.

Ex-General Hospital Actress Lindsey Morgan Books ‘The 100′

Don’t shed any tears for former General Hospital actress Lindsey Morgan(ex-Kristina). The thespian is moving onto primetime!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan has picked up a recurring role on the CW’s upcoming, midseason sci-fi drama The 100.  Based on The Hundred book series, the show centers on a nuclear war which took place 97 years earlier and has decimated civilization.

Let's hope HLN has a great tape delay device handy. Outlandish comedienne Kathy Griffin will be one of the presenters at the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

Equally-outspoken soap queen Nancy Lee Grahn from General Hospital will also be presenting, as will Rachael Ray, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Erika Slezak, Kristen Alderson, Lindsey Morgan, Freddie Smith, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler, Sheryl Underwood, Jason Thompson, Chandler Massey and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood.

Co-star Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr) also landed a nomination.
