Jodi Arias Carves Up Ratings For Lifetime, While Devious Maids Don’t Clean Up

One daytime soap alum recently appeared in a project which scored boffo ratings for Lifetime, while a vehicle featuring a few other soapers—one being the genre's biggest star ever—didn't do so hot for the cabler.

Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret, starring Tania Raymonde and As The World Turn's grad Jesse Lee Soffer, was watched by 3.1 million people on Saturday night. The ripped-from-the-headlines confection of lurid sex and bloody murder now ranks as the No. 2 original cable move of the year, following Lifetime's equally-tabloid-inspired, Prosecuting Casey Anthony.

Lifetime Interested In Devious Maids

Will Susan Lucci's  and the Devious Maids finally make it to television? According to Deadline, the Marc Cherry and Eva Longoria project may not be dead in the water. The site is reporting Lifetime is currently eyeing the drama to be added to their roster. As of now the talks are in their early stages, but it seems Lifetime is interested in snagging shows that didn't make the cut at broadcast upfronts. Devious Maids revolves around four maids (Roselyn Sanchez, Ana Ortiz, Judy Reyes, and Dania Ramirez) who are dreaming of a better life, while working for the wealthy in Beverly Hills.
