Paul and Chavez Hunt For Answers on The Young and the Restless

Wednesday's The Young and the Restless opened with Doug Davidson talking about Paul Williams, his many loves and losses.  He proudly reminded fans of his in-show photo spread. While I enjoyed the segment, the best part was Lauren's (Tracey Bregman) various 1980's hairstyles. I really think Y&R needs to figure out a way to bring back Peter Porte as Paul's son Ricky.

Can Nick Protect Avery and Her Moist, Delicious Cupcakes on Young and Restless?

Things were so much simpler for lady lawyer and unabashed foodie Avery Clark (Jessica Collins) a few months back on The Young and the Restless. She spent her days working for Newman Enterprises, and her nights offering up her warm, tasty, delectable treats to her sister's ex-husband.

Now someone wants Avery dead and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is determined to find out why! On today's episode of Y&R, the Newman scion-turned-bar keep confronts Congressman Wheeler (Mark Pinter) about his interest in Avery's Innocence Foundation case load. Will Nick be able to keep his new gal pal and her easy bake oven safe? Watch the teaser after the jump!

Victor Wants Something From Avery on The Young and the Restless!

Watch out, Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow); you're horny, old toad of a daddy will be hopping to talk to your latest blonde bombshell today on The Young and the Restless! Luckily for Avery (Jessica Collins), Victor (Eric Braeden) says he only wants to chat about her charitable foundation for the wrongly accused. Yeah, like he only wanted to transform Sharon (Sharon Case) into a strong, independent woman!

This reeks of that no-good Congressman Wheeler's (Mark Pinter) handiwork.  Watch a sneak peek from Y&R below!

SPOTTED: FOJ Kale Browne on Set of The Young and The Restless!

WARNING: This is a test of the Federal Soap Opera Friends of Jill Emergency Management System (FSOFOJEMS). Should this prove to be a true FSOFOJEMS emergency, hide Nikki Newman from all dayplayer serial killers. Watch for any storylines about angry cops played by Timothy Gibbs falling for their academy students and be on the look out for "Nadia's Theme" suddenly sounding an awful lot like the E.R. opening credits. This is only a test.

New Genoa City resident Mark Pinterset the Internet on fire when he posted on Facebook about seeing former Another World co-star Kale Browne on the set of The Young and the Restless. After Jill Farren Phelps worked with Browne on AW, she cast him in One Life to Live and General Hospital during her stints running those sudsers. Pinter posted:

Mark Pinter on Y&R Showrunner Jill Farren Phelps: “She’s a Woman Who Has a Great Allegiance to People”

In the January 7 issue of Soap Opera Digest, veteran daytime actor Mark Pinter details how his friendship with showrunner Jill Farren Phelps helped him snag a recurring spot on The Young and the Restless.  Said Pinter:
"You get jobs generally because of where you've been and if you're a director or producer, you want to work with people you've worked with before," Pinter notes. "I'm very appreciative of Jill. She's a woman who has a great allegiance to people and I don't know anybody who has worked with Jill who doesn't have great allegiance to her as well."

Mark Pinter Joins The Young and the Restless

Veteran soap star Mark Pinter is heading to Genoa City. TV Guide's Michael Logan is reporting Pinter, best known as Grant Harrison on NBC's defunct soap Another World, has landed a juicy role on The Young and the Restless. According to the magazine, Pinter will play Marcus Wheeler, who is described as:
a powerful and sophisticated congressman involved with Victor [Eric Braeden] and Jack [Peter Bergman], who will go to any lengths to protect his image and career.
