Michael B. Jordan Auditioned For Star Wars: Episode 7

Darth Vader may not be Michael B. Jordan's film father, but when Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) is your TV step mom you're practically destined for greatness. In addition to a Rocky spinoff, the possibility he might end up as Fantastic Four's Human Torch and rumors he could star in the sequel to Will Smith's Independence Day, Jordan has now confirmed he auditioned for a role in Star Wars: Episode 7, according to The Huffington Post.

"I mean, everybody's going in on this project. They're trying to figure out what they want," he said. "That's another incredible franchise. It's pretty crazy! ... We'll see how it happens. I don't know how I can do everything."

All My Children Grad Michael B. Jordan in Talks to Star in Fruitvale

Former All My Children, Friday Night Lights and Parenthood star Michael B. Jordan is negotiating to star in the indie film Fruitvale, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Reportedly, Jordan would play Oscar Grant, a young man killed by Bay Area police in 2009. Oscar winner Octavia Spencer is in negotiations to portray Oscar’s mother. 
Ryan Coogler is making is feature debut writing and directing the pic, which tells the story of Oscar Grant, a young black man detained on New Year’s Day 2009 by the Bay Area Rapid Transit police and shot in the back and killed. The event was captured by many cell phone cameras, with the ensuing trial and its verdict causing protests and riots. Fruitvale is the name of the station where the event took place.
