Guiding Light Alum Brittany Snow, Ugly Betty’s Michael Urie and More Hit OutFest Red Carpet For Premiere of Family Dramedy ‘Petunia’

Several daytime and primetime television alums hit the OutFest red carpet last week for the premiere of family dramedy Petunia. On hand were Brittany Snow of Guiding Light, American Dreams and Nip/Tuck fame; Ugly Betty alum Michael Uriel; Christine Lahti (Hawaii Five-0, Chicago Hope, Jack & Bobby) and more.

Petunia, written by Ash Christian (who also directs) and Theresa Bennett, is the comedic saga of the Petunia clan of New York City. Brothers Charlie (Tobias Segal), Adrian (Jimmy Heck) and Michael (American Pie's Eddie Kaye Thomas) struggle to come to grips with their respective love lives, amid all of the psychobabble their analyst parents, Felicia (Lahti) and Percy (All My Children's David Rasche) have filled their heads with for decades.

American Beauty's Thora Birch plays Michael's jaded wife Vivian, whose discovery that she's pregnant throws their relationship off balance. Charlie is dating bisexual George (Urie), who is also banging fitness nut Robin (Snow), as part of a polyamorous relationship. Meanwhile, Adrian is suffering from a sex addiction. This sounds right up a soap fan's alley!

Speaking of soaps, the film also stars one of the hungriest, hardest working, up and coming actors out there, Michael Emery. Emery, who has appeared on Guding Light, As The World Turns, One Life to Live and All My Children, plays Larry in Petunias. "Like" this kid on Facebook. He's going places. For more pics from the Petunia premiere at OutFest keep reading!

CBS Releases Trailers For 2012-2013 New Shows

Have you been waiting with anticipation for CBS to release the official trailers for its new 2012-2013 shows? The Tiffany network has finally premiered the trailers for Elementary, Partners, Vegas and Made in Jersey.

Elementary stars Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Homes and Lucy Liu as Watson in a modern take on the classic literary character. It is probably the new CBS show I am looking forward to most. Will Elementary be as good as Sherlock on PBS? We'll find out this fall.

Partners is a comedy about two childhood friends, Charlie (David Krumholtz) and Louis (Michael Urie), whose friendship as adults creates a humorous dynamic for their significant others. One Life to Live grad and former Superman Brandon Ruth stars as Louis’ boyfriend Wyatt.  Former One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush portrays Charlie’s fiancé Ali.

Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis face off in the explosive drama Vegas.  Quaid portrays Ralph Lamb, a rancher-turned sheriff of Las Vegas, who go toe-to-toe with mob elements trying to mold Vegas in the 1960s .

Finally, there is Made in Jersey, which reminds me a lot of USA’s Fairly Legal. Janet Montgomery stars as Martina, a young Jersey lawyer who lands a job in a big law firm and quickly makes her mark.
