Downton Abbey returned Sunday night on PBS with the long-awaited U.S. premiere of Season 5. The changing political climate in England had the Crawleys, their lovers, friends and employees on edge in 1924. Additionally, a fire threatened everyone and everything Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) held dear. Jolly good show!

Is Lady Mary Being Disloyal to Matthew’s Memory on Downton Abbey? (PROMO)


The Season 4 premiere of Downton Abbey dropped to blockbuster ratings last week, as fans tuned in to see how Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) was handling the fallout from Matthew's (Dan Stevens) death. Everyone at Downton was worried she was being swallowed up by grief, but by the end of the episode she took the first steps toward moving on.

Based on the preview for Sunday's episode, some seem to think she may be moving on too fast. Watch the promo after the jump!


Downton Abbey Cast Dishes New Season on GMA (VIDEO)


The cast of Downton Abbey and creator Julian Fellowes stopped by Good Morning America to tease what’s ahead for Season 4. The chat included how the household will deal with the loss of Matthew (Dan Stevens) and all of Mary’s (Michelle Dockery) new love interests.

INTERVIEW: Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery Talks Emmys, Season 4 and Life After Matthew For Lady Mary


While UK Downton Abbey fans are rejoicing over the September 22 start date for Season 4, the fascinating period drama won't be back until January 2014 in the States. To tide Yank soap fans over until then, Daytime Confidential caught up with Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated actress Michelle Dockery, who plays long-suffering Lady Mary Crawley on the hit serial.

The talented actress offered interesting insight about the show, her character and that impressive Emmy nomination. Dockery also dished her alter ego's love life, now that much-loved Matthew (Dan Stevens) has gone on to the Great English Country Estate in The Sky.
