Just heard from a reliable source something that'll make AMC fans scream with joy: Pratt is history.

Daytime's 10 Most Insane Recasts!

After getting over the shock of The Young and the Restless making the boneheaded decision to recast Malcolm Winters, one of daytime's most popular hunks ever, with Family Matters alum Darius McCrary, an actor about as physically dissimilar to Shemar Moore—the Emmy-winning, wildly popular stud who originated the role— as humanly possible, I couldn't help but recall other ridiculous recasts soaps have attempted over the years. Some worked. Some didn't, but one thing is for sure, this is nothing new for daytime! READ MORE

Michael Park Speaks Out On Austin Peck's Departure

Michael Fairman spoke to powerhouse Michael Park on the recent departure of co-star Austin Peck from As The World Turns.
MICHAEL: What can you tell us about the reports that Austin was indeed, “fired”?MICHAEL PARK: Look, he did not get fired. We needed to facilitate Brad going away to facilitate story and unfortunately he was collateral damage. What a firestorm it started because the fans got very upset. But the story that happened because of that was so gorgeous that that death was so wonderful, and so many people benefited from it. Most of all, I believe the fans did. And it’s not over yet, because the Christmas Eve show will knock your socks off! The Christmas Eve show is one of our most beautiful shows of the year, I think.

Meredith Hagner Out at As The World Turns

The rumor turns out to be true. CBS Soaps in Depth is confirming Meredith Hagner is leaving As the World Turns. TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco first spoiled Hagner reportedly being on her way out a few weeks ago. She will tape her last episode in December.

On Dec. 5, one day after Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia reunite in the highly-anticipated web soap opera Venice, the sapphic supercouple will be on hand for uber event promoter Mike Gold's "So Long Springfield" event at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas!

Soap Stars Help Stuff Stockings With Care

New York soap, primetime and Broadway stars turned out for the Stockings with Care celebrity bartending event at the Stitch Bar & Lounge on November 11. The event, which helps raise money to buy holiday gifts for children whose families cannot afford to celebrate their holiday, brought together stars from All My Children, As the World Turns, One Life to Live and former Guiding Light stars.
