No. 10: Phyllis Helps Jack Detox, The Young and the Restless
We criticized a lot (okay, most) of the stories The Young and the Restless told in 2013, but you can never go wrong by pairing "The Berg" (Peter Bergman) and "The Staff" (Michelle Stafford) in a meaty storyline. Phyllis helping Jack detox from his addictions to booze and pills was the best of Y&R in 2013. The soap smartly played on the complicated histories of the two iconiccharacters, not to mention their powerhouse portrayers.
No. 10: Robert Scott Wilson, All My Children
All My Children's casting department won the showcase showdown when they found The Price is Right model Robert Scott Wilson for the role of Petey, err, Pete Cortlandt. Wilson brought charisma, charm, maturity and one killer bod to the part of Palmer (the late James Mitchell) and Opal's (Jill Larson) son.
Not even Wilson could save Pete's insipid relationship with virginal Celia (Jordan Lane Price) on the internet soap. However, the digital sparks Wilson and fellow outstanding newbie Brooke Newton created when Pete and Colby were sexing up our second screens, had us needing to download an app for cooling down our laptops, tablets and smartphones. Join us in celebrating the 6th Annual Daytime Confidential Hot 100! Throughout 2013, Daytime Confidential has been tracking which daytime professionals our readers have been most interested in — whether positive or negative.
Each month we published the Daytime Confidential Top 20 based on your clicks of those individuals. Now we've compiled the entire year into the Daytime Confidential Hot 100.
In 2013, 29 people made their Daytime Confidential Hot 100 debut, or returned to the ranking after having fallen off the list in previous years. General Hospital's Tyler Christopher made the biggest jump in 2013, leaping 53 spots from his 2012 ranking. However, General Hospital also featured the person with the largest drop in ranking. Former GH star Lexi Ainsworth plummeted 49 spots from her 2012 ranking.
Former All My Children star Cameron Mathison was the only person to hold the exact same ranking for two years in a row. After spending two years atop the Daytime Confidential Hot 100, Kirsten Storms dropped to No. 9 in 2013 and was replaced by someone who has never ranked No. 1 on a Hot 100 countdown.
Unlike Daytime Confidential’s year-end Best and Worst lists, the Daytime Confidential Hot 100 is not chosen or ranked by Daytime Confidential’s editors. It is based solely on user clicks. The name of each current and former soap star who appears on the Daytime Confidential Hot 100 is credited to the show on which they last appeared.
No. 100: Chrishell Stause, Days of Our Lives (Return)
No. 10: Cesar Faison, General Hospital
General Hospital's nastiest villain, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) has been obsessed with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) since she was a little girl. In the 90's, the DVX operative terrorized Anna, her sometimes husband Robert (Tristan Rogers) and their World Security Bureau pals Sean Donely (John Reilly) and Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner).
He also targeted Frisco's beloved Aztec Princess Felicia (Kristina Wagner), Robert and Anna's daughter Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and her extraterrestrial pal Casey (Bradley Lockerman) from the Planet Lumina! READ MORE
