PBS to Air Primetime Soap Special

With PBS being most famous right now as the network of Downton Abbey for its American viewers, it's only fitting they should air a primetime soap special.  Since 2008, the series Pioneers of Televsion has documented the early rise of various television genres.

 On Jan. 22, audiences will see an episode entitled, "Primetime Soaps," which will examine the first love triangles, baby swaps and mental breakdowns to reach primetime viewers.  Shows such as Peyton Place, Dynasty, Knots Landing, and Dallas will be examined.  Watch the PBS promo after the jump! 10 Soap Opera Retailers Who'd Get Our Black Friday Business!

No. 10: Berrenger's Department Store, Berrenger's

In 1985, NBC debuted Berrenger's, a splashy, primetime serial about a glamorous, New York City department store dynasty. The soap opera from Lynn Marie Latham and Bernard Lechowick was meant to be a competitor for ABC's Dynasty and CBS primetime sudsers Dallas, Falcon Crest and Knots Landing among others.

Unfortunately, suds lovers were only able to follow the antics of the Berrenger family, friends and foes for 13 short episodes. A pre-Generations Jonelle Allen and future Dallas and All My Children hunk Jack Scalia both appeared. Watch an NBC promo for the premiere of Berrenger's (at the 24 second mark) below!

Bold and Beautiful's Adam Gregory Returns to 90210

The Bold and The Beautiful's Adam Gregory is headed back to 90210. According to TV Guide, Gregory's character Ty Collins will appear in an upcoming episode to showcase what would have happened if ex-girlfriend Annie (Shenae Grimes) didn't come to Beverly Hills. Gregory's airdate is expected for late December/early January.

Judge Dismisses Brian Austin Green’s Lawsuit Against Vanessa Marcil

A judge has thrown out Brian Austin Green’s lawsuit against Vanessa Marcil over unpaid loans. According to TMZ, the judge decided Green waited too long to file the suit over roughly $200,000 in loans.

But today, an L.A. County Superior Court judge ruled ... Green had waited too damn long to pursue legal action against the mother of his 10-year-old son ... and the statute of limitations had run out.

And it gets worse for Brian ... 'cause the judge also told Marcil she can seek monetary sanctions from Green for what her lawyers called a "frivolous" lawsuit.
