Even trash television programs have milestones to celebrate, right? Maury is gearing up to commemorate his 2,500th episode, and 100 consecutive weeks as the number one syndicated talk show among Women 18-34, adults 18-34 and 18-49.
On May 17, Barbara Walters, Katie Couric, Shaquille O'Neal, Joan Rivers, the ladies of The Talk, Kathy Griffin, Wendy Williams, Steve Harvey, NeNe Leakes, Jack Hanna, Donald Trump, Access Hollywood Live hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, ESPN's Pardon The Interruption's Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon, Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder, former Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann, Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos and Trisha Goddard will congratulate Maury Povich on the show's accomplishments. HBO announced today they have acquired the rights to Whoopi Goldberg’s documentary Moms Mabley: I Got Somethin' To Tell You. Through performance footage, photos and commentary from historians, celebs and comics, including: Joan Rivers, Eddie Murphy, Sidney Poitier, Kathy Griffin, Bill Cosby, Harry Belafonte, Jerry Stiller, Anne Meara, and Quincy Jones, the documentary will explore the life of the legendary comic.
In a released statement, Sheila Nevins, president of HBO Documentary films said:

Good Morning America host Robin Roberts announced she will return to work on Feb. 20, five months after undergoing a bone marrow transplant to treat her Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). Roberts stated:
What a difference a year makes. I cannot wait to return to my GMA family. It's going to be an incredible morning in Times Square. The overwhelming thoughts and prayers of the viewers have played a major part in getting me here today. I cannot thank everyone enough.
In the weeks leading up to Roberts’ return, GMA will showcase stories of people who are also battling MDS, and those who Roberts has motivated through her struggle. Roberts will also discuss her illness and treatment on a special edition of 20/20 on Feb. 22, which will feature those who were inspired by her public battle.

CBS just doubled down on their support for their daytime lineup. The Tiffany Network has renewed The Price Is Right, Let's Make A Deal, The Bold and The Beautiful and The Talk for the 2013-2014 TV season. In a released statement, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said:
Over the past few years, we have successfully transitioned our daytime schedule to a balance of program genres with new creative energy.
