Today marked the end of an era of split screen screaming matches and heated, political battles for ABC Daytime's The View. After 10 years as a co-host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck made her final appearance.
On Tuesday it was announced the mother of three was heading over to Fox & Friends in September. Hasselbeck took her seat at the coffee table for the last time and remarked to the audience and viewers at home:
"The past 10 years have been nothing short of extraordinary."
Joy Behar, who is also departing the ABC talk show in November, cracked:
Fox, gee, won't you be a fish out of water there?

The shakeup at The View continues, as the New York Post reports Elisabeth Hasselbeck is headed to Fox News’ morning show, Fox and Friends, where she will join Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade.
FOX News Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes announced, “Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on “The View”. She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.”
Hasselbeck added, "I have been a long-time fan of “Fox & Friends” and am excited to be joining their team in September.” READ MORE
