HBO Announces Return Date for True Blood’s Final Season

 
The seventh and final season of True Blood will premiere Sunday, June 22 at 9 pm on HBO.  The last chapter in Sookie Stackhouse’s (Anna Paquin) saga will finally see if she ends up with vampires Bill (Stephen Moyer) or Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello), or shifter Sam (Sam Trammell). 
 
Matters will be further complicated by the mutated vampire disease sweeping the undead population.  READ MORE

Cast of HBO's The Normal Heart Full of Daytime Soap Alums

 
HBO’s movie adaptation of The Normal Heart will premiere Sunday, May 25 at 9 pm EST.  Based on Larry Kramer’s award-winning play, The Normal Heart tells the story of the beginning of the AIDS crisis in 1980s New York City. 
 
The adaption is directed by Ryan Murphy, and will star soap alums Jonathan Groff (One Life to Live), Finn Wittrock (All My Children) and Matt Bomer (All My Children, Guiding Light).  READ MORE

HBO premiered it's new comedy starring former Guiding Light star Murray Bartlett, Glee's Jonathan Groff and Frankie J. Alvarez on January 19.  The series follows three friends–Patrick (Goff), Dom (Bartlett) and Agustín (Alvarez)–as they search for love and the meaning of life while living in San Francisco.

Former General Hospital Star Nathan Parsons Gets Some 'True Blood'

General Hospital alum Nathan Parsons is headed to Bon Temps this summer. TVLine is reporting Parsons will replace Luke Grimes in the role of James on True Blood for the final season.

Grimes vacated the role due to "creative differences" with the show. Look for James to be wrapped up in a triangle when season seven returns this summer.

 

Actor Quits True Blood




Luke Grimes, who made his True Blood debut as dreamy vamp “James” last season, has left the show. As TVLine first reported, Grimes allegedly asked to be let out of his contract based on the new creative direction of his character.  As James should presumably still be romancing Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) when the vampire drama returns, the role will be recast.  READ MORE
