NYU Professor Sues James Franco For Defamation

James Franco is about to go from Hollywood Heights to a court of law. According to the New York Post, the movie star/scholar/novelist/artist/soap opera guest/future telenovela producer is being sued by a former NYU professor for defamation of character.

José Angel Santana reportedly gave Franco a 'D' for missing his film classes while enrolled at NYU. As a result of this, Santana is claiming Franco defamed him, leading to the educator's termination. Said Santana:

Whoever was in Clint Eastwood’s chair at the Republican National Convention was more present than Mr. Franco was in my classes,” José Angel Santana told The Post, referring to the “Dirty Harry” actor’s “conversation’’ with an empty chair meant to represent President Obama

Franco is “a bully,’’ said the former full-time professor. “He uses the bully pulpit of his celebrity to punish anyone who doesn’t do his bidding.”

Hollywood Heights' Robert Adamson Cast as Noah on The Young and the Restless!

Looks like I'm two for two on Wishful Castings of late! First my suggestion that Everybody Hates Chris teen heartthrob Tequan Richmond take over the role of TJ on General Hospital became a reality; now The Young and the Restless has cast Hollywood Heights' hunk Robert Adamson as the new Noah Newman!  Here's the casting scoop from the Soap Opera Digest Facebook Page:

That was fast. YOUNG AND RESTLESS has already cast the next actor to take over the role of Noah Newman, last played by Kevin Schmidt. He's Robert Adamson, who just wrapped up a run on Nickelodeon's HOLLYWOOD HEIGHTS as Phil. Adamson, who beings taping on September 4 and will first air on October 1, will work again with HH's former Executive Producer Jill Farren Phelps and Head Writer Josh Griffith, who now hold the same posts respectively on Y&R. Wishful Casting: All My Children and Hollywood Heights Star Shannon Kane as Y&R's Lily!

Rumors are swirling all over the web that Christel Khalil is on her way out of Genoa City on The Young and the Restless. Like many of the soap's fans, I immediately started wondering who would be the perfect recast for the role of Lily Winters?

While I loved Davetta Sherwood—who took over the last time Khalil exited the series—in the role, I think Jill Farren Phelps can save time by calling up one of her Hollywood Heights stars, the sexy, stunning Shannon Kane! READ MORE

RUMOR REPORT: Is Jill Farren Phelps About to be Named Executive Producer of The Young and the Restless?!

I'm hearing Jill Farren Phelps is thisclose to being named the new executive producer of The Young and the Restless. Rosie O'Donnell: "Hollywood Heights — My Kids Luv It"

Nick-at-Nite's increasingly-addictive, nightly teen sudser Hollywood Heights just got a ringing endorsement from the offspring of a daytime television legend. Last night Rosie O'Donnell tweeted an instagram of her family watching the program, along with the following message:

Hollywood Heights' Brittany Underwood on James Franco: "He Just Looked You Right in The Eyes and Stared Into Your Soul"

That sound you hear is One Life to Live alum and Hollywood Heights leading lady Brittany Underwood swooning over the teen soap's multi-episode guest star James Franco. Underwood, who plays aspiring songbird Loren in the fun, 80-episode Nickelodeon serial, shared her recollection of her first Franco sighting with New Jersey's Star-Ledger. Said Underwood:

I met him in the dressing room," she said. "He just looked you right in the eyes and stared into your soul."

Sounds like Underwood is crushing on the eccentric A-lister, who has an affinity for serialized dramas produced by Jill Farren Phelps! Franco is appearing as Osborne, a movie mogul who will stop at nothing to get Loren's pop star crush, Eddie Duran (Cody Longo) to appear in his movie.
