Former As the World Turns and Guiding Light star James Rebhorn has died at the age of 65 from melanoma. Rebhorn portrayed Bradley Raines on GL and Angus Oliver on AWT.

Scandal Beauty Becomes Regular on Homeland

 
Nazanin Boniadi will return to Season 4 of Homeland as a series regular.  Last year, Boniadi recurred on the Showtime spy drama as a Far Sherazi, a CIA analyst with a vast knowledge of international banking.

Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan Surprise Homeland's Mandy Patinkin With Former Flames


Last December, Homeland star Mandy Patinkin appeared on LIVE with Kelly and Michael, where the hosts had a little treat for him. They relayed a woman named Sandy had written them, saying she was Patinkin’s first kiss!

Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital to Compete For 2014 WGA Award




The Writers Guild of America (WGA) has unveiled their nominees for the 2014 WGA Awards and three of the four remaining daytime soaps received nods! The writing teams from General Hospital, The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives were all nominated. According to the WGA, online serials All My Children and One Life to Live were eligible. Here's a notation concerning soaps created for new media:

All daytime serials will compete in the Daytime Drama category, which has also been broadened to include made-for new media programming.

In addition to the two daily online soaps which aired this past television season, CBS Daytime's The Bold and the Beautiful didn't receive a nomination this year.  For a complete list of nominees, keep reading after the jump!

Vincent Irizarry Heads to Homeland

Vincent Irizarry isn't letting a stall in All My Children's production keep him on the sidelines. Irizarry has landed a guest-starring role on the Showtime hit drama, Homeland.
 
Irizarry will play Capt. Lonza, a police officer caught up in an investigation involving Carrie (Claire Danes) and Quinn (Rupert Friend). Irizarry's airdate is slated for Nov. 10.

Homeland airs Sundays at 9 PM EST on Showtime.
