With a commanding, virile presence, matched by the type of booming, thunderous voice you'd imagine Zeus utilizing on Mount Olympus, Thorsten Kaye could easily come off as intimidating, that is, if he wasn't so good natured. I was able to ask the All My Children star a few, quick questions on the red carpet before the premiere of the rebooted sudser and its sister soap One Life to Live.
With Kendall (Alicia Minshew) and Zach on the outs, what is in store for the casino mogul romantically? How will Minshew's upcoming guest spot as Kendall impact things? How did the actor, who went on to do NBC's Smash following AMC's cancellation on ABC Daytime, react to the news that the soap was coming back? We touched on all of those subjects. I also asked the popular star if his real-life leading lady Susan Haskell will ever reprise her historic role as OLTL's Marty Saybrooke.
Daytime Confidential: How are you feeling?
Thorsten Kaye: I'm feeling good. I think these guys [Prospect Park] did a good job. How are you feeling? What are you looking for?
DC: I'm excited. I'm really excited. I was skeptical at first, but now it's finally happening. I have to ask, what's going to be in store for Zach romantically? READ MORE
Two new faces have been added to the cast of All My Children. The Online Network announced today Brooke Newton and Jason Pedergraft have booked gigs on the sudser.
Newtown will play Colby Chandler, daughter of Adam Chandler (David Canary) and teenage crush of Pete Cortlandt (Rob Wilson). I wonder how Colby's return will impact Pete's budding relationship with the mysterious Celia (Jordan Lane Price)? Newton will first air on May 16. READ MORE

INTERVIEW: Thom Racina on The New OLTL, Ice Princess Revisited and His Love and Hate For Daytime ConfidentialBy Jamey Giddens on April 29, 2013
It's no fun to learn you've gotten one of your soap icons a talkin' to! That happened to me on the red carpet before the premieres of the new One Life to Live and All My Children. It was there I found out from Thom Racina himself, the writers of the new OLTL have a love/hate relationship with Daytime Confidential!
The iconic scribe and I also dished about his plans to tell the kind of game-changing love stories he once told on ABC Daytime's General Hospital on the new OLTL, only with a more realistic touch for the modern day, internet savvy viewer.
Daytime Confidential: Hi Thom, it's Jamey Giddens from Daytime Confidential.
Thom Racina: Oh hi. Daytime Confidential. We love and hate you, you know? [Laughs]
DC: What? We love you!
TR: Daytime Confidential, that's how we get yelled at a lot. "How dare you post this? How dare you say that?" [Laughs] READ MORE
