Soaps In Depth caught up with former General Hospital and The Young and the Restless star Marisa Ramirez and asked her about her role on Starz’s new period drama Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. The series, which premieres January 21, required Ramirez's first nude scene and gave her reason to pause.
"My soul took a big hit," she confesses. "It's not really life-changing, but once you do it, it's something you can never take back." Fortunately, the scenes, which take place with her character's gladiator spouse, Oenomaus, weren't gratuitous. "It's art... I was pleased with it," she states.

Deadline is reporting the soap star-turned-Dancing With The Stars strutter is one of three actors vying for the lead role in Starz's hit series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Turner, along with Stephen Amell (Closing The Ring) and Liam McIntyre (The Pacific) are reportedly all being flown to New Zealand for screen tests and what not. Andy Whitfield, who originated the lead role in the series, vacated the part when his cancer came out of remission. What do you guys think?
