Lara Spencer Locks in New Deal at GMA; Will Josh Elliott Follow Suit?

Good Morning America’s Lara Spencer has inked a new deal to stay at the ABC morning show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spencer signed a long-term contract.

Meanwhile, co-anchor Josh Elliott is reportedly debating a move over to NBC Sports. Elliott has less than a month remaining on his contract with ABC. In a statement to the trade paper, Spencer said:

You know you're in the right job when getting up at 4 a.m. is a joy,”This was a simple decision; I love what I do, and I adore the people I work with. I am thrilled to be on this team and look forward to many more years.


The Real Debuts Sept. 15 in National Syndication

The ladies of The Real are headed for national syndication. The talk show has been given the greenlight in 98 percent of the country, after debuting last summer to a successful four-week sneak peek in seven test markets.

The Real, hosted by Loni Love, Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Adrienne Bailon and Jeannie Mai, will hit television screens Sept. 15. Episodes will be rebroadcast in primetime on BET. Take a look at what’s to come, after the jump!  READ MORE


President Obama Calls Ellen's Selfie a "Cheap Stunt"! (VIDEO)

James Franco isn't the only one humorously shading Ellen DeGeneres' record-breaking Oscar night Twitter selfie. President Barack Obama made a guest appearance on Ellen. The two discussed the host's social media feat. DeGeneres apologized for breaking Obama's retweet record. He remarked:

I heard about that. I thought it was a pretty cheap stunt myself, getting all those celebrities in the background and feeding them pizza.

Bethenny Frankel Reveals Feeling "Filtered" on Talk Show In Open Letter to Viewers

On the heels of her talk show's cancellation, Bethenny Frankel is speaking out about the program being axed. Frankel penned an open letter on her website, voicing her opinions as to why she felt her self-titled show was doomed. Frankel wrote:
In order to have the freedom to create a talk show, there are required elements that the job entails. This is the part that I didn't enjoy so much and that wasn't authentic to me. In addition, I tend to be quite inappropriate which may not be suitable for daytime television or for the suits that run network television nationwide. READ MORE

Unlike my time on Bravo, I felt a bit diluted, filtered and somewhat constricted. I am a free spirit. My late father (a horse trainer) used to say "She is a mustang. You need to let her run." I am more comfortable in my natural surroundings and in a setting where I'm surrounded by crazy, where anything goes and where I can be authentically me. When interviewed about the show, I always said that it could only work if I was true to myself and only if it was genuinely a good fit and marriage which it turned out not to be.
