It looks like Marie Osmond is returning to daytime. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Osmond is finalizing a deal for a talk show to fill the spot left by Martha Stewart's cancelled The Martha Stewart Show on the Hallmark Channel.

She may be an iconic homemaking maven, who puts Desperate Housewives’ Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross) to shame, but when Martha Stewart’s new Hallmark Channel show gets taken to the woodshed and spanked in the ratings by Little House on the Prairie and Golden Girls reruns you know there is a problem.
According to The Live Feed, the 10 a.m. airing of The Martha Stewart Show on the Hallmark Channel dropped 61 percent from Golden Girls reruns during the same time a year ago and the 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. re-airings dropped 67 and 71 percent from Little House on the Prairie reruns a year ago. Even worse, the Hallmark Channel’s 25-54 target female audience was down significantly.
