Did a Rachael Ray Show Trainer Make Overweight Teen Run Like Forrest Gump?

Losing weight is rarely easy, but on TV shows like The Biggest Loser, it is even more intense. However, what responsibility do TV or talk shows have to their competitors/guests when they agree to put their weight loss struggles on air?

According to TMZ, the Rachael Ray Show could be facing a lawsuit over just such an issue.

Christina Pagliarolo -- who weighed in at 260 lbs -- agreed to be part of a segment on overweight teens.  She claims in her lawsuit ... the trainer made her run like Forrest Gump, yelled and screamed at her, and made her hike in the mountains.

Worst of all, she says the trainer put her on a StairMaster and kept cranking up the speed until she fell off the machine ... and then he yelled at her for falling.

Rachael Ray Weighs in on Katie Couric, Ricki Lake and The Chew

Is Rachael Ray worried about competition from Katie Couric and Ricki Lake’s new talk shows next fall or ABC’s The Chew this season? When asked about the topics by Zap2it, Ray responded:

"I'm a huge Katie fan, and I think she's going to kill it. And I love Ricki. There's going to be a lot of great television to watch. I think those are probably both afternoon-type shows, and the afternoon hasn't settled in yet. There isn't another 'Oprah,' and there never will be, but there isn't a lot of smart talk going on in the afternoon."

Anderson Earns Second Best Opening Since Rachael Ray

While new additions to The Talk, the debut of The Chew and Hot Topics on The View have been grabbing the majority of the headlines among daytime’s talk and lifestyle shows, Anderson Cooper’s new talk show has been going strong since its debut. According to The Hollywood Reporter,

Anderson had a 1.4 national rating for week two (after Nielsen recalculated the rating for the first week), which made it the second biggest opening for a new talk show since Rachel Ray in 2006. Only Dr. Oz had a higher debut when he launched in 2009.
