Disney's pricey two-year experiment with Katie Couric's talk show and its subsequent cancellation has left other syndicated shows fighting for the time slot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Meredith Vieira's talk show, Meredith, could benefit most from Katie's demise.
"Most stations already believed [Katie] was not going to return and have made decisions and acquired new product or rescheduled product they already have," says Bill Carroll, vp/director of programing at Katz TV Group. But Carroll notes that it's still unclear what ABC stations, including the network-owned outlets, will put in Katie's place, presenting an opportunity for Vieira and others.
Loni Love is fast becoming one of Hollywood’s hardest working women. In addition to co-hosting The Real and being a panelist on E!’s Chelsea Lately, Love has been pitch-hitting as The Ellen DeGeneres’ guest DJ.

Most of the country is about to get "real." The Real, hosted by Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley, has cleared more than 70 percent of the U.S. television markets.
“Our traditional station partners have joined the Fox Stations in embracing all of the excitement that is The Real,” said Werner in a statement. “This year, more so than in most, there are limited opportunities for new shows and we are thrilled stations have selected The Real as their choice.”
Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley really impressed TPTB during the trial run for The Real last summer. The syndicated hour of hilarious, hot mess and ratchetness has been picked up for a fall 2014 launch on all Fox owned-and-operated stations! The talk show will also air on cable channel BET. Who knew Tamar Braxton and her husband Vincent Herbert had such awesome taste in soap characters? Braxton revealed to Us Weekly she and her hubby named their new baby, Logan, after The Bold and the Beautiful's Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang)!

We tape it every day," says Braxton, who married the record executive in 2008 and stars alongside him in WE tv's Tamar & Vince, a spinoff of Braxton Family Values.
