One Life to Live's Erika Slezak: "How Many Cooking Shows Can You Have?"




The queen has spoken! In a recent interview with our pals over at Zap2it, once-and-future One Life to Live grande dame Erika Slezak blasted the programs ABC Daytime chose to replace two of their beloved daytime soaps with. Said Slezak:

"I have to say, they replaced them with real rubbish. 'The Chew' is hanging on, but how many cooking shows can you have? You have a channel called the Food Network; you can go there 24 hours a day, so do we need another show where they're all talking over each other? And 'The Revolution' was so bad, they canceled it in five months."

Good Afternoon America to Premiere July 9

ABC’s trial run of Good Afternoon America is set to debut on July 9, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Reportedly, Josh Elliot and Lara Spencer will anchor the afternoon hour of Good Morning America, filling the slot currently occupied by the axed The Revolution

"It's tremendous that GMA has this opportunity to extend its reach, and bring something new to the afternoons,” said Elliott, who joined the ABC program as news anchor in May 2011 after several years on ESPN's SportsCenter. “It is gratifying to play a role in it and genuinely hope our audience will come along for the ride."

Say buh-bye to Adam Rockmore, former senior vice-president of marketing for ABC Daytime and SOAPnet. He is no longer employed by the Mouse House. According to my sources, Rockmore is telling people he quit the gig — much like his ex-boss Brian Frons quit.

For those who didn't know, Rockmore was the dude who came up with the disastrous "Real Greenlee" campaign for the return of Rebecca Budig to All My Children in 2008.
