The Today Show
In a Today exclusive, set to air Wednesday and Thursday, R&B singer Bobby Brown sat down with Matt Lauer. This is Brown's first interview since the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston. For years, many have believed Brown was responsible for getting the late songbird/actress addicted to drugs, however the New Edition member says that wasn't the case. Brown stated:
I didn't get high [on narcotics] before I met Whitney. I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn't the one that got Whitney on drugs at all. READ MORE

Rosie O’Donnell’s debut in the “Today’s Professionals” segment on The Today Show drew headlines for her less than complimentary comments about Lindsay Lohan and for calling Donny Deutsch a “crackhead.”
In an Access Hollywood exclusive, Lohan responded to O’Donnell’s comments on Wednesday saying,
“It’s funny that someone you don’t know at all can say something so intrusive and so knowing,”
Lohan also shared with Access Hollywood how O’Donnell was one of her first interviews as a child actress.
“You know, I did one of my first interviews with her when I was little. I was so excited,” Lindsay told Shaun.
“Does this kind of change your feelings about her?” Shaun asked?
“She should base her opinions when she meets someone,” Lindsay said.
How many times can one person be banned from a single TV show? Kathy Griffin must be setting some sort of record trying to find out. According to USA Today, Griffin revealed she has been banned from The Today Show yet again, but this time by Natalie Morales. Griffin bumped into Morales at a Golden Globes after party. Apparently, Morales felt Griffin was rude to her and had her banned from appearing on Today. According to Griffin,
What I heard from their team is that I was rude to her at the Golden Globes. Which is funny because I didn't go to the Golden Globes. But I did go to Golden Globes parties which I didn't really belong at, so I know for a fact that I did a few interviews there, but I really knew that it wasn't my place to even be there." Griffin says she doesn't remember seeing Morales at the Globes parties, or turning down an interview request.
Having Griffin banned from Today seems to be almost a rite of passage for members of the show’s team. Reportedly, Katie Couric and Matt Lauer each had Griffin banned at different times.
Former All My Children star turned talk show host Kelly Ripa is among the daytime celebrities included in The Hollywood Reporter’s 35 Most Powerful People in Media. In THR’s profile, Ripa discusses the ongoing search to replace Regis Philbin as her co-host.
But even amid talk of firming up the chair, Ripa says there’s “no urgency” to finding a permanent replacement and notes the show’s steady performance since Philbin’s exit. (It recently matched its February 2011 sweep rating of a 2.7 in households and is now the top syndicated talker among the coveted women 25-to-54 demo.) READ MORE
The Today Show may be celebrating fending off former anchor Katie Couric in the Nielsens, during Couric's recent stint on ABC's Good Morning America, but now the morning show has a new foe — fellow NBC'er Alec Baldwin! In a series of tweets, the 30 Rock star accused Today of "stalking" him in wake of his latest scandal, involving Genevieve Sabourin, a woman Baldwin has also accused of stalking him!
This past Monday, Sabourin, a Canadian actress, was arrested on suspicion of stalking. This was after Sabourin had reportedly shown up at Baldwin's apartment in New York City. Prior to that, the woman had allegedly appeared at Baldwin's holiday retreat in the Hamptons.
Baldwin, who recently became engaged to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, admitted to knowing Sabourin, having met her on a movie set some 10 years earlier and having reportedly dined with her. Today's camera crew was reportedly outside Baldwin's apartment to cover the growing story. Check out Baldwin's tweets—including one where he says he's leaving NBC—after the jump!
