Hey Days fans, welcome to another week of wedding bells chiming in Salem. Here on Denial Island, the wedding that isn’t happening takes up much of the week. Yes, it’s becoming the wedding that never ends, yes it goes on and on fellow Islander friends. On a plus note, it’s fun watching Nicole squirm with each and every interruption. Pity EJ’s too busy thinking about the hit on Philip to notice. What else is coming up this week? Philip is shot, Dr Dan comes to the rescue and it’s all out war between the Kiriakis’ and DiMera’s. All this and more, in this week's Preview from Denial Island (April 20 – 24).
Nicole/EJ/Sami: The wedding continues on from last week with Mia having something to say. This does not go down too well with EJ, and we all know what happens when EJ gets angry (kinda scary actually). This doesn’t stop Sami from having her say either... maybe not the best time to tell EJ he’s the father of Grace, but Sami will do what Sami will do. I guess we should give her props for coming clean so soon. Sami’s too late to stop the wedding though, EJ and Nicole are joined in holy matrimony and then they both confront Sami about the interruption. Alas, instead of coming clean about Grace, Sami doesn’t disagree when EJ accuses her of wanting him and his baby. Hmm… that’s an interesting one. On the flip side, after a cosy reception celebration back at DiMansion, Nicole’s starts to realize being a DiMera wife may not be all it’s cracked up to be. She overhears EJ and Stefano discussing the hit on Philip and … oh well Nicole, too late now!
Philip/Stephanie/Daniel: No, not another triangle (yet, *snigger*). The newest DiMera goon puts the hit on Philip, and Stephanie is there to call 911, aka Daniel. They get Philip to the hospital and Daniel works those magic fingers of his to save him. Unfortunately Philip’s not doing too well, but don’t worry, someone’s gotta be sick to give Daniel something else to do besides dating. He tries out an experimental treatment on Philip after he flatlines; Stephanie is distraught of course, but she has backup in the form of Melanie and Brady. Really? Melanie? Isn't she just there for Philip? Maybe, maybe not.
Victor/Kate/Stefano: This I’m going to watch with interest! Watch out, Momma Bear Kate isn’t too happy with ex-sweetheart Stefano when she finds out he’s the number one suspect behind Philip’s shooting. For what it’s worth, while Victor is sitting beside Philip’s hospital bed plotting revenge Kiriakis style, Kate goes right over to DiMansion and gives Stefano a slap in the mooshe. Stefano, for his part, starts feeling ill later in the week and thinks he’s been poisoned. Has Kate changed targets from Chloe to Stefano? Keep an eye out for a tension-filled conversation between Stefano and Victor… it’s sure to be gold!
Rafe/Roman: Yeah, you might be wondering where he’s gone and whether it’s for good? Rest assured, Safe fans, Rafe has not gone. Sami learns that Rafe returned the medal she gave him at Christmas and wants to find him. She might have trouble getting in contact with him, since his phone’s been disconnected. Good thing she knows someone on the Police force who can handle such simple things as finding people (hello Roman). More Rafe next week.
Mia/Dr Baker: Mia gets to hold Sydney this week and surprise, surprise, she feels nothing for the baby girl. This is after her outburst at the wedding, where you’d think Nicole would be able to pass her off as some loony who’s after their DiMera baby. But no. Later, Mia and Dr Baker have another catch-up and Mia tells him that she felt no connection with Sydney. Is Dr Baker going to spill the beans? Unfortunately not. Not this week anyway.
Brady/Melanie: It hurts me to have to type Melanie’s name anywhere near Brady’s. However, it is Melanie who finds Brady after he’s beaten up by the other DiMera goon. She helps him walk to the Pub, but Brady soon forgets his injuries when he finds out what's happened to Philip. He categorically sides with the Kiriakis half of his family. Always the good boy Brady, except when it comes to helping Nicole. But as they say, love is blind.
Worrying Spoiler for the Week:
- Brady sees a nicer side of Melanie (really?).
In Other, Shorter Storylines:
- The Chloe/Daniel/Lucas love triangle is not over with yet.
- Bo firmly sides with the Kiriakis’ over Philip’s hit.
- Stefano gets followed.
Coming Up Next Week (April 27 – May 1):
- EJ and Nicole make love, but it’s Sami’s face EJ pictures!
- Stefano finds out what’s been poisoning him (or not).
- The beginning of the Max/Chelsea exit storylines.
That's it for this week. As always, leave me a comment with your thoughts, or come join us in the TFO Days forum.
