In May 2008, Hunter Tylo filed a restraining order against her then-boyfriend, Corey Cofield. He was alleged to have hit her daughters with a belt and to have grabbed Tylo by the throat "hard". By October 2008, she had terminated the order and reconciled with him. In May this year they split up for good. Now Tylo has opened up to the National Enquirer:
It was like a bad soap opera. I booted Corey out in May after I found a letter he'd left on my computer - a love letter to his old fiancee. He claimed he couldn't contact her because he'd been out of town, but that he missed her.
Tylo and Cofield were together for two years, and they were rumored to be considering marriage at one point:
Corey wanted to get engaged in December but I realised he wasn't a marriage candidate for me.
... He screwed up financial things for me. I found bills weren't paid that I thought he'd paid.
... Since I kicked him out, he's been leaving me alone.
