DC Fantasy Soap Draft

With the NFL preparing for this weekend’s draft, I thought we soap fans could have a little of our own fun with a Fantasy Soap Draft. Here is how it works.

Pick a soap as your “team” and then from your soap’s CURRENT cast of actors and characters trade for the actors or characters on other soaps who you think will make your soap stronger and hurt your competitors. You can also rehire one past soap actor and actress out of “retirement” to further story and boost ratings. You can steal one person from any other soap by offering them whatever it takes to get them.

Find out which soap I chose and see my draft picks after the jump.

My Soap:All My Children

The Hero: Trade Adam Mayfield to General Hospital as Lucky for Jonathan Jackson as Scott Chandler.

The Heroine: Trade Brittany Allen to Days of our Lives for Lindsay Hartley to play JR’s wife Marissa.

The Bad Boy: No trade. Not willing to give up AMC’s bad boy David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry).

The Bad Girl: Trade Madison North (Stephanie Gatschet) to General Hospital for Skye Chandler (Robin Christopher).

The Hunk: Trade Ryan Lavery (Cameron Mathison) to The Young and the Restless for Billy Abbott (Billy Miller).

The Hottie: Trade Natalie Hall to The Young and the Restless as Abby Carlton for Marcy Rylan as Colby Chandler.

The Villain or Villainess: No need to trade. Janet Dillon (Kate Collins) is returning.

The Lawyer: Trade Jamie Luner to As The World Turns for Maura West as Liza Colby.

The Doctor: No need to trade. Angie (Debbi Morgan) and Jake (Ricky Paull Goldin) are doing a bang up job tending to the needs of Pine Valley’s citizens.

The Cop or Detective: Trade Natalia (Shannon Kane) to One Life to Live for Brody (Mark Lawson).

The Tycoon: No need to trade, as I’d be focusing the corporate story on the Chandler family’s internal fight for control.

The Soap Couple: Trade Frankie (Cornelius Smith Jr.) and Randi (Denise Vasi) for General Hospital’s Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Julie Marie Berman).

Male Actor/Character out of Retirement: Michael Nader as Dimitri Marick.

Female Actor/Character out of Retirement:Kelly Ripa as Hayley Vaughan.

Head writer: This is my steal. I’m stealing Lorraine Broderick back into the head writer position so that Kriezman and Swajeski never get their Guiding Light killing hands on All My Children.
