What's Up, Doc? Instead of Watching The Chew, Watch Deidre Hall RETURN to Days of Our Lives on Sept. 26!!!
Dr. Marlena Evans Craig Brady Black (I don't count Alex North!) is BACK! Deidre Hall told TV Guide Network's Hollywood 411 she will most assuredly be reprising the role of one of daytime TV's most legendary heroines this Sept. 26 on Days of Our Lives. Ken Corday and Co are finally putting their money where their promises are with this move. Scheduling Dee's return as the unforgettable Marlena for the same day that ABC's tired soap replacement The Chew debuts is a GANGSTA!
While I am over the moon about ABC licensing All My Children and One Life to Live to Prospect Park to continue as webisoaps, it doesn't mean I will forget how the Mouse House callously chose to gut two long-running, beloved soaps for cheap crap. I encourage all daytime fans, who don't want to see a bunch of copycat, lifestyle reality shows take the place of scripted storytelling in the daytime, to tune in to Days of Our Lives, The Young and The Restless, The Bold and The Beautiful, and of course General Hospital and One Life to Live, when AMC airs its last network television episode this September. Let's leave The Chew to stew in its own juices and (hopefully) dismal debut ratings. Welcome home, Doc!
