Controversial showrunner Jill Farren Phelps isn't letting her soap go down the drain without a fight. In this week's Soap Opera Digest (on newstands now), the General Hospital executive producer dishes the "New GH," complete with Garin Wolf running the writers room, and asks for fans to help keep the soap afloat.
"We know that we have to work harder than ever before in order to bring the most riveting television that we possibly can," she declares. We are depending on our fans, because without them, we would not be able to do this."
While I haven't been a fan of Farren Phelps since she killed all my beloved Another World characters in like five scenes, I guess maybe it's time to let bygones (and Ryan Harrison) be bygones. Sigh. I tell her what, if she can get GH's ratings up enough to make Disney-ABC ditch either The Chew, The Fart (otherwise known as The Katie Couric Show)or The Revolution, I might even forgive her killing my Mary Frances Ordway Winthrop aka Frankie Frame!
