Webisoap Community Pumped For Tonight's Indie Soap Awards!
What is quickly becoming the Emmys for the webisoap community, the Annual Indie Soap Awards are being held tonight in Gotham, and to say the nominees are pumped, would be an understatement on par with saying theDeVanity siblings are just a wee bit dysfunctional!
Anacostia creator/leading man Anthony Anderson (who I am forever trying to rename Anthony Edwards for some odd reason!) is predicting the cast of his sizzling, mocha take on classic primetime soaps like Peyton Place and Knots Landing, will stun on the red carpet tonight. Anderson tweeted:
Starting to get ready for tonight's Indie Soap Awards #anacostia we gonna rock that red carpet @WeLoveSoapsTV
Anacostia is nominated for six Indie Soap Awards (seven if you count the Fans' Choice Award), including nods for Best Actor in a Web Drama and Best Writing, both for Anderson. Daytime soap superstar Martha Byrne is also nominated for her delicious, guest spot as a D.C.-area madam on the serial.
Keeping with the fashion theme, daytime soap standout Signy Coleman, star and co-executive producer of auteur Tyler Ford's so-brilliant-it-should-be-on-cable web series River Ridge, revealed she's wearing an A-list designer for the event, not once, but twice!
Just left Valentino in NYC with 2 of the most beautiful dresses to wear Tuesaday night to the Indie Soap Awards! Thanks to Rory @ Valentino
