SOAP BYTES: Y&R's Adam is a Devil; Carrie Catches Austin and Lisa Rinna Returns to DAYS

DAYS BYTES: Yep, it’s official. Austin (Patrick Muldoon) really is one of the most stupid characters in soaps. After all those years of Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) manipulations and entrapments, you’d think he would have seen Abby (Kate Mansi) coming from a mile away.

I wonder what Carrie (Christie Clark) is going to do, now that she's caught Austin and Abby in a compromising situation?

Lisa Rinna is back as Billie Reed. What were your first impressions of her return to Days of Our Lives?

I wonder what Brady (Eric Martsolf) will do now that Madison (Sarah Brown) has cut him out of her life?

I am really looking forward to Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) and Will’s (Chandler Massey) scenes next week.

Y&R BYTES: Adam Newman (Michael Muhney) makes quite the devilish Restless Style cover boy, doesn’t he? Do you believe Adam is actually repentant? On one hand I hope he is, but on the other, I thoroughly enjoy Adam as one of the town’s master manipulators.

Jack (Peter Bergman) to Adam: “What does that make you, a poor man’s Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)?”

Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) is one of the few soap characters whose righteous indignation doesn’t bother me, unlike say Tad Martin (Michael E. Knight) on All My Children, who drove me nuts.

Davidson was on fire on Friday.

Paul to Adam: “Just so you know, this is Paul Williams about to knock you on your ass.”

B&B BYTES: Apparently the most memorable thing about Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope's (Kim Matula) night of lovemaking were the literal fireworks on the beach and not those set off by Liam’s sparkler.

I’m pretty sure Hope not so subtly called her mom Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) a hoochie.

Bill: “What are you doing here?”

Liam: “It’s my office; what are you doing here?

Bill: “It’s my building.”

Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and Eric’s (John McCook) remarriage was the highlight of my soap week. The addition of Phyllis Diller had me in stitches.

Eric to Stephanie: “There is no story of my life on this earth without you.”

Stephanie:  “Ask him how many other wives he’s had.”

Eric: “Ask her why I’ve went to other women? Because I was a boy then. I’m a man now. You’re the woman I want.”

In summary, I guess if Eric has just become a man, that means there’s still hope for Ridge (Ronn Moss).

Hillary B Smith! Boy I’ve missed seeing her since One Life to Live went off the air.

GH BYTES: The expression on Todd's (Roger Howarth) face when Carly (Laura Wright) revealed she is Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) ex-wife was priceless.

Understatement of the day comes from Carly to Todd: “You don’t know how things work here in Port Charles.”

I know there are a lot of Todd and Blair fans out there, but I say bring on Todd and Carly!

It must be tough for Blair (Kassie DePaiva) to see Starr (Kristen Alderson) fall victim to Todd’s emotional manipulations.  Absolutely LOVE that Todd has already plastered “Baby Killer” across the front page of The Sun concerning Sonny. This is going to be fun!

Steve (Scott Reeves) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) are so 2011. It's time to put a fork in them as a couple.

Kate (Kelly Sullivan) needs to spend a lot of time on Ewen's (Nathin Butler) couch, but should it be in a professional manner?

Lulu (Julie Marie Berman) working at the Port Charles Police Department is reminding me of Natalie (Melissa Archer) at LPD. Next thing we know, Lulu is going to be a bed-hopping CSI!
