SOAP BYTES: Sam’s Carly Conundrum on GH; Lucas Fires EJ as Will’s Boss on DAYS

DAYS BYTES: EJ (James Scott) sure looked smug and for a bit it was almost as if Will (Chandler Massey) didn’t give a flying flip what EJ thought.

Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) to EJ: “Save your breath, Elvis. You’re not Will’s boss any more, effective immediately.”

In the end, Will chose to keep working for EJ. That has to piss off Lucas. It might also get him closer to the truth about Will’s secret.

Madison (Sarah Brown) is ticked off! Did you see that table setting go flying?

The Melanie (Molly Burnett) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) dynamic is always one that makes me smile. However, I’m not liking Gabi (Camila Banus) moving in on Chad (Casey Deidrick).

I always love it when Sami (Alison Sweeney) squirms; bringing Billie (Lisa Rinna) back to Countess W is sure to make that happen!

Oh Abby (Kate Mansi), why didn’t you listen to Melanie? You are not a good liar and keeping this secret about not having slept with Austin (Patrick Muldoon) is going to come back to bite you.

GH BYTES: Maxie’s (Jen Lilley) grief on Friday was so palpable; it was almost as good as what we’ve seen from Patrick (Jason Thompson), Mac (John J. York) and Anna (Finola Hughes). Good job, Jen!

It’s a little thing, but I really enjoyed seeing Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Molly (Haley Pulos) sitting in the pew with Mac.

Sam (Kelly Monaco) got more than she bargained for from Ewen (Nathin Butler) when she walked into the locker room and said “show yourself!”  Sam just needs to give up and accept that Carly (Laura Wright) is going to cause problems for her for the rest of her married life. Sam knew what she was getting herself into when she said "I do" to Jason (Steve Burton). You can't choose your spouse's family, and Carly is Jason's family, whether Sam wants to accept it or not.

Speaking of Jason and Carly, I totally love their friendship. Jason understands what makes Carly tick like no one else.

Kate/Connie (Kelly Sullivan) was squirming beneath Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) questioning. I wonder how long until Sonny cracks this particular haute coture nut?
