DAYS BYTES: Everything is right in Salem again, Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) have reunited and she’s meowing like a pussy cat lapping up cream.
Sami (Alison Sweeney) to Rafe (Galen Gering), with Carrie (Christie Clarke): “What’s going on here Rafe? Still juggling both women and our divorce isn’t even final yet?”
I am loving Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) and Sami spending so much time together. Days of Our Lives really needs to play up their history more.
Billie (Lisa Rinna) to Bo (Peter Reckell): “As much as I love hearing the sound of my own voice, and I do, I’m getting bored with this one-sided conversation.” So are we Billie, so are we.
Do you believe EJ’s (James Scott) sob story to Nicole (Arianne Zucker)?
Y&R BYTES: Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) found out Victor (Eric Braeden) had a hand in Chelsea seducing Billy (Billy Miller). So of course she runs to Jack (Peter Bergman). Nikki and Jack’s renewed connection should have Victor (Eric Braeden) spitting mad.
Jack: “Don’t do anything rash, okay?”
Nikki: “Says the man who is rushing off to marry Mata Hari.”
You go Nikki!
Y&R really needs to update some of the shots in its opening. How old was Bryton James when his shot in the opening was filmed?
Lauren (Tracey Bregman) doesn’t want Fen to return to Genoa City because of Daisy (Yvonne Zima). She can’t be convinced by Michael (Christian LeBlanc) he’ll be safe.
It’s a nice touch, having Abby (Marcy Rylan) compare the possibility of Chelsea (Melissa Clair Egan) drowning to her loss of Colleen (Tammin Sursok).
Oh great, Avery (Jessica Collins) is back in Genoa City. I didn’t miss her, did you? They had better not be chemistry testing Michael and Avery. I do not approve.
One of the few storylines I actually enjoyed on Friday was Adam (Michael Muhney) and Chelsea talking about Victor paying her to break up Billy and Victoria's (Amelia Heinle) marriage.
Take that Victoria! How does it feel to learn your brother—the man who you revile—saved the biological mother of your baby and helped bring the bundle of joy into the world?
GH BYTES: Soap trials just aren’t what they used to be. I’m bored by Sonny's (Maurice Benard) courtroom drama on General Hospital. I can’t begin to say how many The Young and the Restless trials I’ve wanted to fast forward because they were so painful to watch. One Life to Live’s trials were always so good, which is why I had high hopes for Sonny's, since the team behind OLTL is now at GH. Maybe the reason I'm not invested in watching Sonny stand trial for Hope and Cole's deaths is because I’m simply not invested in Sonny period.
Heather (Robin Matson) to Sam (Kelly Monaco): “I had my fill of Ferncliff. I mean after all, how many doilies can one person crochet? And the people, I’ve met Brussels sprouts with better personality. I’m taking care of business — you."
Luke (Anthony Geary) and Tracy (Jane Elliot) need to be reunited ASAP.
Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) writing “Perjury is a crime” on the yellow notepad that Anthony (Bruce Weitz) couldn’t read was hilarious.
B&B BYTES: It’s so much fun to see siblings fight on soaps. Watching Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and Pam (Alley Mills) argue was my favorite moment of Friday’s The Bold and the Beautiful.
Stephanie: “You have to find something to keep busy, besides the baking.”
Hope (Kim Matula) to Liam (Scott Clifton): “I will never hide anything from you again.” If those aren’t famous last words I don’t know what are.
Much like Avery’s absence on The Young and the Restless, I can’t say I’ve missed Donna’s (Jennifer Gareis) lack of air time.
Amber (Adrienne Frantz) to Liam (Scott Clifton): “Hope and I have gotten close lately, if you must know.”
Liam: “No! No, Amber you are not cozying up to her. She may be forgiving, but I’m not so quick to forget. No matter how many times you bash my head in or blow me up.”
Liam may be one of soap’s biggest idiots when it comes to love, but at least he seeing through Amber’s scheme. I wonder how long that can last?
What will Hope do now that she found out the doctor didn’t prescribe the second set of pills?
