Talk TV staple Rosie O'Donnell didn't take long to find a new gig, following the cancellation of her OWN series Rosie. The comedian is now appearing on NBC's Today, as part of the morning show's popular "Today's Professionals" segments. O'Donnell made her premiere appearance on Monday's show, alongside moderator Matt Lauer, Donny Deutsch and fellow ex-ViewerStar Jones.
During the segment, O'Donnell and Deutsch got into a lively discussion, while talking about Lindsay Lohan being cast as Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime's upcoming biopic Liz and Dick. Below are a few excerpts, transcribed by The Hollywood Reporter.
O'Donnell on Lohan:
"I feel very sorry for her," said O'Donnell, quickly chiming in on her first day on the job. "I think she needs a lot of time away. ... She's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including SNL. She was out and not in rehearsal. I think she's not in a place to work."
O'Donnell after Deutsch called Lohan "our generation's Elizabeth Taylor".
"You're out of your mind! You're a crackhead! The last thing she did good she was sixteen," she said.
