Y&R BYTES: Daisy (Yvonne Zima) is insane. Ricky (Peter Porte) is insane. The best line about the insanity on The Young and the Restless came from Lauren (Tracey Bregman): “Crazy is busting out all over the place.” If that isn't the truth, I don’t know what is!
Is Y&R so out of touch with its viewers it expects us to feel sorry for Ricky or Daisy? I refuse to be sucked in by these asinine stories.
I also really didn’t need to hear Daisy tell Ricky, “I just had the best sex of my life.” Considering the last time she had sex with Daniel (Michael Graziadei) he was drugged, I question her benchmark.
Who else has wondered if Ricky killed the girlfriend who supposedly committed suicide?
I will give Porte this, his character and storyline may be awful, but he’s a good actor.
DAYS BYTES: The family members of the Fab Four and the two Snore bores were shocked by the revelation that the “dearly departed” were actually alive at a safe house. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Sami (Alison Sweeney) was the one who got angry over the cover up.
Rafe (Galen Gering) and Carrie (Christie Clark) decided to be together. Wouldn’t it be nice if they rode off into the Salem sunset when Clark leaves Days of our Lives?
I felt bad for Lucas (Bryan Dattilo). He stood by and listened to Sami talk to Austin (Patrick Muldoon) about what is going on with Carrie, and by extension Rafe. Even though Lucas knows her better than anyone, and they recently slept together, she can’t get Carrie and Rafe off of her mind. Sami never changes, does she?
GH BYTES: All hail Florencia Lozano! The former One Life to Live actress didn’t skip a beat as she slipped back into the role of Tea Delgado. Tea went toe-to-toe with Todd (Roger Howarth) over her desire to defend Starr (Kristen Alderson) from criminal charges. Todd riled Tea up so much she pulled out her finger and waved it in his face like she used to in Llanview. I have to wonder if Lozano once attended the Jeanne Cooper School of Finger Wagging, because no two actresses do it better on soaps.
I liked that Carly called Johnny (Brandon Barash) a rapist for having sex with a mentally impaired Kate Howard (Kelly Sullivan). It was nice to see her give voice to what many of us are thinking. Barash and Wright’s scenes at the Metro Court were phenomenal on Thursday.
Jason Thompson continued his fantastic performance as the grieving Patrick Drake.
Potential oozes from all the possible One Life to Live/General Hospital pairings evolving onscreen. McBam steam up my screen with their subtle passion. Todd Manning and Carly Corinthos Jax (Laura Wright) are so hot my TV practically catches fire. Though Starr’s (Kristen Alderson) pairing with Michael (Chad Duell) flounders in boredom, the scenes she’s shared with Johnny (Brandon Barash) have featured more than a few sparks.
Has anyone come up with a squish name for Todd and Carly? The first one that popped to my mind was Codd, but a couple with so much potential shouldn't be named after a fish.
Steven Webber (Scott Reeves) returned to Port Charles, much to Olivia’s (Lisa LoCicero) surprise. Now that her boyfriend has returned, Olivia should watch her back. Heather (Robin Mattson) is one crazy cookie.
B&B BYTES: I’ll keep this short and sweet. After an enjoyable Wednesday episode, Thursday’s The Bold and the Beautiful contained little, if anything, new or interesting. Everyone continued to talk incessantly about Hope (Kim Matula), Liam (Scott Clifton) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Hopefully, something substantial happens on Friday.
