DAYS BYTES: Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Will (Chandler Massey) continue to be the single best thing on Days of Our Lives. The interpersonal strife and emotional drama has more than sucked me in. When Will revealed to his parents that he is gay the reactions were palpable.
Not unexpectedly, Lucas understood. However, Sami had a harder time dealing with Will’s truth. Fleeing her apartment, Sami bumped into EJ (James Scott) who actually had some wise advice for his ex-wife.
Lucas to Will: “I’m not disappointed in you. I’m disappointed for you. There is a difference there. I see what’s going on in the world and it’s not going to be easy for you to be gay.”
Did anyone else expect Sami to breaking out with a rendition of “Tomorrow,” from Annie while wearing that dress?
A spa is a good investment in a bad economy? Unless Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) plans on turning it into a Client List type spa, it may not be a good move for her portfolio. Madame Maggie has a ring to it, doesn't it?
How much money does DAYS' wardrobe department save by having Brady (Eric Martsolf) shirtless so often? Could he single-handedly be keeping the lights on in Salem?
EJ tried to come to terms with Nicole (Arianne Zucker), but it didn’t go as he’d hoped. He did threaten an eventual paternity test. We all know where this is headed.
GH BYTES: After months of protecting Matt (Jason Cook) from the truth, Maxie (Jen Lilley) finally revealed he is the one who killed Lisa Niles (Brianna Brown). Meanwhile, in court, Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) spilled the beans to the judge. How will Patrick (Jason Thompson) react when he finds out?
At the jail, Tea (Florencia Lozano) revealed she planned to smear Michael (Chad Duell) to get Starr (Kristen Alderson) out of the charges. Starr didn’t want her to use the mountain of information against him. Tea said she wouldn’t, for the time being, but if she needed to she would.
Todd (Roger Howarth) continued to get around town. He popped up at Metro Court just in time to threaten Michael. Later, he dropped by Sonny’s (Maurice Bernard) office, where he got felt up by Milo (Drew Cheetwood). We don’t see Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo enough. They are important supporting characters and I especially miss Max and Diane (Carolyn Hennesy).
Y&R BYTES: Ashley (Eileen Davidson) walked in on Tucker (Stephen Nichols) holding Harmony (Debbi Morgan) in his arms. On Wednesday, she goes off on him, while packing up her things. He desperately tried to get her to give him another chance, but no such luck. It’s a crappy storyline, but Davidson and Nicholas are such good actors it almost makes up for it. Tucker later asked Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) for help in solving his problems. Awww, Tucker needs his mama!
Adam (Michael Muhney) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) are being wasted; give them something to do! Spending so much time in a hotel room isn’t drama, its sleep-inducing and depressing. Where would you like to see Chelsea find a job? With any luck she'll end up a high-powered executive at a cosmetic company!
Sofia (Julia Pace Mitchell) looked great in her purple and red outfit. Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) stopped her to give her some relationship advice. Later, Sofia warned Harmony to stay away from her husband.
Sarge (Darnell Williams) told Jack (Peter Bergman) they are going to keep working and not to give up hope. Re-energized, Jack is ready to soldier on.
B&B BYTES: Add The Bold and the Beautiful’s Hope (Kim Matula) to the list of mystery-solving women on soaps. After weeks of Amber (Adrienne Frantz) making Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) believe Rick (Jacob Young) is a cross dresser, Hope got to the bottom of the issue in one soap day. Lulu (Julie Marie Berman) couldn’t even solve the stripper-beater-upper mystery that fast on General Hospital!
Poor Amber, her plot crashed down around her. How long will it take Rick to forgive her this time?
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) has become a big, old meddlesome Molly, hasn’t she? First she’s meddling in Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope’s relationship. Now she’s meddling in whatever it is evolving between Thomas (Adam Gregory) and Caroline. Much more of this, and the next thing we know Brooke will be wearing Stephanie's (Susan Flannery) kimono outfits and kneeing Ridge (Ronn Moss) in the groin.
