B&B BYTES: After a day of relief from Hope (Kim Matula), Liam (Scott Clifton) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) we found ourselves back where we have been for months, enduring agonizing relationship dialogue go on and on and on and on and on. After dining on the emotional steak between Bill and Katie (Heather Tom) on Monday, Tuesday felt like a meal of cotton candy.
Hope: “I didn’t realize all the things I had buried in side.”
Tell me about it.
Bill’s (Don Diamont) henchwoman bugged the office of Hope’s therapist (Hillary B. Smith). Didn’t Bill learn his lesson from manipulating Steffy’s X-rays? Later, Bill listened in as Hope recounted how open she feels to her therapist. He also heard her share that she never met her father. Apparently, in addition to owning a conglomerate, Bill Spencer is trying out to become “Big Brother.” Hurry up and arrive on The Bold and the Beautiful, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan)!
Can someone please tape Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) mouth shut! I am so tired of watching her meddle in everyone’s lives. As hard as Brooke and Bill fight for their children’s marriages, I’m surprised the two haven’t ended up together themselves.
Y&R BYTES: Victor’s (Eric Braeden) plot to bring down Genevieve (Genie Francis) and keep Beauty of Nature hit a snag. He learned the judge ruled in Jack’s (Peter Bergman) favor. If Genevieve gets nailed by the Feds, Victor will lose the cosmetics company. That means Victor must now keep Genevieve out of jail.
Cricket (Lauralee Bell) showed up at Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily’s (Christel Khalil) house. She revealed that if Cane doesn’t help the government gather evidence on his mother he could be jailed or deported. Genevieve called to get his help and Cane tried to warn her, without Cricket catching on.
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) faced off over her dating Victor. Nick let Sharon know how displeased he is with her and how complicated she is making their children’s lives.
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) tried to tell Victor she is marrying Jack, but he cut her off at the pass by telling her he already knew. She then wondered if his relationship with Sharon was a knee-jerk reaction to him having seen Jack propose.
DAYS BYTES: The Fab Four and Two Snore Bores’ plot to lock up Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) imploded before their eyes. Stefano escaped jail again, because he was asked by the CIA to buy the guns from arms dealers. Apparently he's been enlisted to get guns away from dangerous people. What did Stefano get out of the deal? The CIA gave him immunity for all recent crimes.
Marlena is one of the few soap characters I don’t mind riding in on a high horse. She does it so well, especially when she's upset with Stefano.
Sami (Alison Sweeney) arrived home and discovered Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) cooking. She admitted to meeting with EJ (James Scott) twice. However, after she confessed, Lucas revealed he already knew.
Sami, Lucas, Will and Marlena continue to be the best thing Days of Our Lives have going. Did you believe Sami when she told Lucas that she was going to change?
The other day Carrie (Christie Clarke) denied being pregnant to Marlena (Deidra Hall), but it looked like she’s being affected by something. She doubled over with stomach pain. Later, Carrie took a pregnancy test. It turns out she does have an internal parasite after all.
GH BYTES: Johnny (Brandon Barash) capped Anthony's ass, shooting him point blank. I have to say I’m pretty impressed by how this storyline is evolving. Since Starr (Kristen Alderson) arrived in Port Charles, I’ve thought she and Johnny shared chemistry. I think the idea of her unknowingly falling for the man responsible for her daughter’s death could be an epic storyline. His actions with Anthony reminded me a lot of the on-the-edge character we were first introduced to when Johnny made his debut years ago.
Because Sonny (Maurice Benard) is the reigning mob boss, Johnny’s underworld activities came across as playing second fiddle. Johnny killing his own flesh and blood makes him actually lethal. Hopefully, it also means a changing of the guard, even if it is ever so slow. Soaps need good villains and Barash has the acting chops to make an excellent one.
Speaking of Sonny, his jail house confrontation with Connie (Kelly Sullivan) resulted in him telling Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) they need to save Kate. Sonny is such a sap.
Todd (Roger Howarth) and Carly (Laura Wright) confronted one another over their children. However, all’s well that ends well, because Todd has a plan.
Tea (Florencia Lozano) visited John (Michael Easton), where she put her feet up, literally. I doubt that’s what he expected from his fellow Llanview transplant.
Proving once again he has become Port Charles biggest dick, Jason (Steve Burton) suggested Sam (Kelly Monaco) give up the baby so they can be together.
