Dallas Was Wednesday's Highest Rated Cable Drama!

The third episode of TNT's delicious Dallas update was the highest rated cable program Wednesday night, according to TV By The Numbers. Almost 5 million people tuned in to see J.R. (Larry Hagman) and John Ross (Josh Henderson) decide to work together to regain control of Southfork from Bobby (Patrick Duffy). The far too short, hour-long installment averaged a 1.3 among adults 18-49, down just two-tenths of a point from its record breaking premiere.

In addition to J.R. and son joining forces, last night's Dallas found Bobby sharing with his boy, Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe), that he has cancer. This led an emotional Chris right into the arms of his ex-lover Elena (Jordana Brewster), which of course was caught on camera by Tommy (Callard Harris), the con artist brother of Christopher's new, not-quite-blushing bride Rebecca (Julie Gonzalo)!

Speaking of the former Ms. Sutter, John Ross' private dick learned that it was Rebecca who sent the email to Elena breaking things off with Christopher. Other highlights from Episode 3 of Dallas included the return of Ken Kercheval as Ewing nemesis Cliff Barnes, and J.R. unnerving Faux Marta (Leonor Varela) by renegotiating the deal she and John Ross had with the Venezuelan oil magnates, who are fronting them the cash to buy Southfork.

I can't get enough of this show. What did you guys think of last night's Dallas? Give a yee haw or a whoa nellie in the comments!
