SPOILER ALERT: The Olympics have had their final ceremony, so now we can finally get back to finding out who will take the Gold, Silver and Bronze in the race to bag EJ DiMera (James Scott) on Days of Our Lives. Sorry, Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker), but Will (Chandler Massey) looks like a champion to me!
Okay, okay, enough of my Wishful Storytelling. I may never get to see my dream EJill pairing, but Sami and Lucas' (Bryan Dattilo) boy will be getting plenty of action now that DAYS is back, and I'm not just talking that upcoming, seemingly unwanted kiss with Sonny (Freddie Smith)! Young William will play quite the hero following the DAYSaster, helping both EJami and Lucas.
Speaking of heroics, unfortunately for Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) you can't rescue two distressed damsels at the same time. While John's (Drake Hogestyn) eldest offspring is busy helping to rescue Melanie (Molly Burnett), his intended, Madison (Sarah Brown), will be taking her last breath.
Let's hope Brady's guilt over not being there for Maddie doesn't cause the recovering druggie to struggle with his sobriety. On second thought, let's hope it does, because that would make for good soap!
Maybe Brady can bond with his late mom Isabella's pal Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves), who will also be grieving a loved one in Salem this week. That's right, kids. Jack (Matthew Ashford) dies AGAIN. It's so depressing to see TPTB turn one of my favorite soap characters into Salem's answer to Kenny from South Park.
Look for Jack's sister and brother-in-law, Adrienne (Judi Evans) and Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) to turn up just in time to learn the bad news. I hope someone remembers to call Patch in Genoa City, Wisconsin to tell him about Billy.
Speaking of well-informed siblings, I wonder if Eric Brady (soon-to-be Greg Vaughan) has any idea about all the gasy, electrifying drama going down in Salem? I guess we'll find out in November of 2026 just how much Sami's twin has been keeping up with the goings-on in his hometown. DAYS has got to start taping closer to air. Oh well, I bet Eric's first love, Nicole, will be happy to see him when he gets back.
Who isn't happy this week on DAYS is Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow). Once the cosmetics queen finds out just how dirty Ian (Ian Buchanan) has been playing the game, will Kitty Kat Kate be able to show him who the true master, er mistress, is?
I can't wait to find out the answers to these questions and more now that Days of Our Lives is back. After you watch today's episode, come back and give us your thoughts in the comments!
