GH BYTES: Todd (Roger Howarth) arrived at the Quartermaine mansion and asked Tracy (Jane Elliot) for part of the money to pay Jerry Jacks’ (Sebastian Roche) ransom. He also called Carly (Laura Wright), Johnny (Brandon Barash) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) in for a meeting of the One Percent Club. Tracy couldn’t figure out why she hasn’t been affected by the toxin, but everyone else is.
Best line of Tuesday’s General Hospital was when Todd said, “Sonny with a chance of vengeance.”
Johnny on the phone: “You know that cash that we stashed in that place, next to that thing where we buried that person? I need it.”
I loved that the Quartermaine mansion set was used. I always appreciate seeing big, ol' soap mansions.
Jax (Ingo Rademacher) busted Jerry out of prison. As they were making their escape, Joe Jr. (Richard Steinmetz) attacked Jax and freed Jerry.
Ewen (Nathin Butler) kept Jason (Steve Burton) at gunpoint, while holding onto Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He proclaimed he didn’t have the antidote and that he wouldn’t have helped Jerry if he knew what was planned. He then capped Jason in the leg and tried to drag Elizabeth off with him. Elizabeth fought to free herself as Jason made constipated “I’ve been shot” faces. The moment she broke free Jason shot Ewen.
DAYS BYTES: Daniel (Shawn Christian) insisted Nicole (Arianne Zucker) move into the Kiriakis mansion, in order to be protected from EJ (James Scott). She didn't like the idea and wanted to know if he had any other suggestions.
Bo (Peter Reckell) prepared for Nick’s (Blake Berris) parole board hearing. Melanie (Molly Burnett) continued to freak out over the possibility of Nick getting free. Just as the parole board was about to give Nick their verdict, Melanie arrived.
Rafe (Galen Gering) had flashbacks of overhearing Sami (Alison Sweeney) tell Grandma Brady (Peggy McCay) she isn’t with EJ. Unfortunately, he may not be as happy when he discovers EJ and Sami are in fact growing closer again.
Sami demanded to know why EJ hadn’t told her he’s still a DiMera.
Y&R BYTES: Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) started putting together their plan for ousting Sharon (Sharon Case) at Newman Enterprises. They got almost everyone onboard with their scheme, but wanted Tucker (Stephen Nichols) to make it unanimous.
Sharon talked to a portrait Victor. I wonder if she'll soon start talking to herself in mirrors and seeing things?
Sharon: “Wherever you are Victor, you better get ready because I’m going to pass your damn test. I’m going to run this company better and smarter than it has ever been run before. Anyone who thinks I’m stupid or naïve, they’re in for a big surprise. I promise you they will rue the day they underestimated Sharon Newman."
Genevieve (Genie Francis), who had found Victor (Eric Braeden) in a bar, was surprised when he told her his name was Christian. The longer she spent with him the more she realized that something about The Great Victor Newman wasn’t right.
Michael (Christian LeBlanc) told Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) if she wanted to stick to her alibi of sleeping with Ronan (Jeff Branson) the night of Dr. Tim’s (Aaron Lustig) death, she had to tell Nick or he would.
B&B BYTES: Bill (Don Diamont) ripped into Liam (Scott Clifton) about Hope (Kim Matula) once again, as Katie (Heather Tom) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) watched.
Steffy showed everyone a photo of Hope and Thomas’ (Adam Gregory) vandalism. Bill practically exploded at Hope’s tantrum and then refocused his anger on Liam.
Bill to Liam: “Liam, you’re trying my patience. Can you lose the puppy dog eyes and start acting like a man? And while we’re on the subject, ditch the preppy clothes and start dressing like a grownup. And no more soft editorials, hard hitting Spencer journalism. Let’s get back to that.”
Heather Tom is rocking her pregnancy outfits. I'm loving Katie's role as the voice of reason in Bill and Liam's arguments.
Hope threw together a hasty press conference, during which she revealed she was cancelling the bridal line. Liam watched the press conference via a web feed, as Hope began to melt down. Rick (Jacob Young) rode to his sister’s rescue. He revealed the bridal line may be finished, but that his sister would continue to inspire young women through Hope for the Future. He also surprised everyone by announcing Thomas Forrester was joining the line.
How anyone could find Hope inspirational is beyond me.
