SOAP BYTES: Nick Plays the Cassie Card on Y&R; GH’s One Percent Club Tries to Save Port Charles

Y&R BYTES: Wednesday’s The Young and the Restless was actually sort of fun, but not exactly “must see.” Nick (Joshua Morrow) pulled out the biggest gun he had in his holster, Cassie's (Camryn Grimes) memory. He took aim at Sharon’s (Sharon Case) mental problems by tracing them all the way back to their daughter’s death.

You know those horror movies where someone shoots a zombie through the stomach and it cuts to the zombie with a giant hole in the middle of the body? That’s pretty much what Nick did to Sharon with that emotional bullet. The judge told Sharon if she wanted to stay at the top of Newman Enterprises she was going to have to submit to an inpatient psychiatric evaluation. In the meantime, he appointed Victoria (Amelia Heinle) as interim head of Newman.

What did Sharon do after the judge’s decision? She ran to Tucker (Stephen Nicholas) and the two ended up doing the slippery slide at his place. Of course Adam showed up, which provided Sharon the opportunity to glide out of Tucker’s bedroom in her panties.

One of my favorite Y&R dynamics is Adam (Michael Muhney) and Abby’s (Marcy Rylan) sibling banter. While it's obvious they loathe one another, there also seems to be a grudging respect between them.

Billy (Billy Miller) and Genevieve (Genie Francis) sparred over Victor (Eric Braeden), resulting in Billy ultimately convincing Genevieve that Victor did in fact have amnesia.

DAYS BYTES: Sami (Alison Sweeney) questioned Rafe (Galen Gering) being the father of Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) baby. She expressed her reservations to EJ (James Scott), who was actually beginning to think Nicole was telling the truth. Meanwhile, Nicole accused Rafe of still having feelings for Sami.

How many men can be in love with Sami at one time? It’s obvious we’re headed back down the EJ/Sami/Rafe super highway. I also doubt  Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) is as over his ex-wife as he claims. Will (Chandler Massey) needs to straighten his mom out, that is after he gets his own stuff together.

Nick (Blake Berris) was finally paroled. How will his freedom impact Melanie (Molly Burnett)? Only time will tell.

GH BYTES: Maxie, Maxie, Maxie! It was great to see Kirsten Storms back in scenes with Jason Thompson’s Patrick. Would it be going too far to hope for a Maxie/Patrick pairing? Boy wouldn't that be a surprise for Robin (Kimberly McCullough) when she eventually comes home from captivity?

In a real-life political environment where rich people are being lampooned for having too much money, you have to chuckle at the pride with which Todd (Roger Howarth) has been going around Port Charles heralding his One Percent Club. It was almost as if it was a badge of honor for him to be wealthy.

Carly (Laura Wright), Todd, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Johnny (Brandon Barash) all expressed their disappointment with Jax (Ingo Rademacher) for helping Jerry (Sebastian Roche) escape jail.

Wednesday was a nice day for Jason (Steve Burton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) fans. Daytime Confidential’sJamey Giddens summed it up perfectly on Twitter by saying,

Liason is having the equivalent of a Roman orgy with just...their...eyes. #GH

Liz is here to nurse ALL of Jason's wounds. :-)

Of course JaSam got a special “What if” episode on Thursday, so I’m not sure a Roman eye orgy can live up to that. In the meantime, Sam (Kelly Monaco) ended up in John "The Honey Badger" McBain’s (Michael Easton) arms after hitting her head.  When McBain arrived at General Hospital with Sam, he begged Elizabeth to check her out as Jason watched. Talk about an uncomfortable.

Jerry proved he still had a heart by giving Joe Jr. (Richard Steinmetz) a second vial of the antidote.

Of course Ewen (Nathin Butler) would have to flatline before he could tell Patrick the truth about Robin.

B&B BYTES: Ridge (Ronn Moss) demanded to know why Rick (Jacob Young) made Thomas (Adam Gregory) a designer on Hope’s (Kim Matula) fashion line without running it by him first. Rick said he did it to save the disaster of a press conference.

Thomas tried to explain to Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) why he had kissed Hope during the press conference, but she wasn’t interested in his explanations.

Bill (Don Diamont) went beserk when Liam (Scott Clifton) rushed off to find out why his beloved Hope kissed Thomas. After Liam turned into the Road Runner, went beep, beep and zoomed away, Bill told Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) she was the woman from Liam.  Steffy argued with Bill, saying she wasn’t going to force Liam to fall in love with her.

At Forrester, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge talked about their children and then started getting hot and heavy.

Caroline ended up exactly where Rick wanted her, in his arms.
