No. 20: Ronn Moss, The Bold and the Beautiful
The Bold and the Beautiful’sRonn Moss slipped two spots from No. 17 to No. 20 on September’s Daytime Confidential Top 20. Though it was announced in August that Moss was leaving B&B, Ridge and Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) wedding—along with various Ridge recast stories—kept Moss in the news.
No. 19: Sean Kanan, The Bold and the Beautiful
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Sean Kanan made his Daytime Confidential Top 20 debut in September with news of his returning to General Hospital.

No. 18: Jess Walton, The Young and the Restless
The Young and the Restless’ Jess Walton fell from No. 13 in August to No. 18 On September 18 it was revealed Walton will be reprising the role as Jill Abbott.
No. 17: Rebecca Herbst, General Hospital
In August, Rebecca Herbst fell off the Daytime Confidential Top 20, but in September she climbed back onto the countdown. Herbst rose from No. 24 to No. 17 among the stars we track. Herbst’s character Elizabeth Webber stirred up controversy in late September when she messed with the DNA test results for Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason’s (Steve Burton) baby.
No. 16: Billy Miller, The Young and the Restless
The Young and the Restless’ Billy Miller shot up from No. 27 to No. 16 . On September 15 Daytime Confidential’sJamey Giddens published a rumor report stating there is a possibility Miller and Michael Graziadei may be leaving Y&R.
No. 15: Genie Francis, The Young and the Restless
Rebecca Herbst and Billy Miller were not alone in making large jumps to return to the Daytime Confidential Top 20. The Young and the Restless’Genie Francis rocketed from No. 44 among the Top 50 stars in August to No. 15 on September’s DC Top 20. It was announced on September 13 that Francis had been canned by Y&R. Speculation of a possible return to General Hospital also likely stoked interest in Francis.
No. 14: Katherine Kelly Lang, The Bold and the Beautiful
The Bold and the Beautiful’sKatherine Kelly Lang sprang from No. 23 to No. 14 on September’s Daytime Confidential Top 20. Lang appeared with The Young and the Restless’ Melody Thomas Scott and Michelle Stafford, sans makeup, on the season premiere of The Talk.
No. 13: Christel Khalil, The Young and the Restless
The Young and the Restless’Christel Khalil edged up from No. 15 in August to No.13 on September’s Daytime Confidential Top 20. In early September, Khalil fans chartered a plane to fly over CBS Television City asking that she remain on the show. By the end of the month it was announced Khalil was staying put.
No. 12: Kimberly McCullough, General Hospital
General Hospital’sKimberly McCullough fell from No. 9 in August to No. 12 on September’s Daytime Confidential Top 20.
No. 11: Susan Flannery, The Bold and the Beautiful
The Bold and the Beautiful’sSusan Flannery rose from No. 13 in August to No. 12 on September’s Daytime Confidential Top 20. Fans of Stephanie Forrester were already mourning the loss of the iconic character in September.
No. 10: Melody Thomas Scott, The Young and the Restless
The Young and the Restless’Melody Thomas Scott slipped from No. 6 in August to No. 10 on September’s Daytime Confidential Top 20. On Sept. 10, Scott joined Y&R co-star Michelle Stafford and The Bold and the Beautiful’sKatherine Kelly Lang on the season premiere of The Talk, sans makeup.
No. 9: Heather Tom, The Bold and the Beautiful
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Heather Tom last appeared on the Daytime Confidential Top 20 in June. She returned to the countdown at No. 9 in September. On screen, Tom’s character Katie Logan Spencer fought for her life as she gave birth to a scheming Dollar Bill's (Don Diamont) son.
No. 8: Farah Fath, One Life to Live
Former One Life to Live star Farah Fath fell from No. 5 in August to No. 8 on September’s Daytime Confidential Top 20. It is the lowest Fath has landed since May 2011.
No. 7: Marcy Rylan, The Young and the Restless
The Young and the Restless’Marcy Rylan last appeared on the Daytime Confidential Top 20 in January 2012. She returned to the countdown in September at No. 7. Last month it was announced Rylan had been axed by Y&R. To borrow from Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, "Big mistake. Huge!"
No. 6: Sharon Case, The Young and the Restless
The Young and the Restless’Sharon Case edged up one spot from No. 7 in August to No. 6 on September’s Daytime Confidential Top 20. Case appeared on The Talk with Joshua Morrow to help promote Y&R’s 10,000th episode.
No. 5: Kelly Monaco, General Hospital
General Hospital’sKelly Monaco jumped from No. 10 in August to No. 5 on September’s Daytime Confidential Top 20. Monaco returned to ABC’s reality hit Dancing With the Stars to defend her Season 1 mirror ball. In Port Charles, her alter ego Sam McCall Morgan inched closer to a relationship with John McBain (Michael Easton), while still yearning for Jason (Steve Burton) and her "dead" baby.
No. 4: Eric Braeden, The Young and the Restless
For the second month in a row, The Young and the Restless’ Eric Braeden held tough at No. 4 on the Daytime Confidential Top 20. It was a busy month for Braeden. He signed a new contract with Y&R and joined Twitter. His character Victor Newman returned to from the dead on the show’s 10,000th anniversary.
No. 3: Peter Reckell, Days of Our Lives
Days of Our Lives’ Peter Reckell and General Hospital’sSteve Burton swapped spots in September. Reckell slipped from No. 2 to No. 3. On screen, Reckell’s character Bo faced a decision about whether to remain at the Salem Police Department, as fans reeled from the actor's impending departure.
No. 2: Steve Burton, General Hospital
General Hospital’sSteve Burton climbed one spot from No. 3 on August’s Daytime Confidential Top 20 to No. 2 in September. Burton taped his last GH episode on September 25.
No. 1: Kirsten Storms, General Hospital
General Hospital’sKirsten Storms retained her spot at No. 1 on the Daytime Confidential Top 20 for the ninth month in a row. Now that Storms has finally returned to GH will someone else be able to claim the top spot in October?
