Marlena (Deidre Hall) did not seem pleased to see Kristen (Eileen Davidson) back in Salem. In fact, she told Kristen she’d hoped she was rotting in a third world prison somewhere. When Marlena learned Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) had brought Kristen back to town, Marlena said she felt like she had a “sick feeling of déjà vu.”
Kristen just kept digging herself into a hole when she revealed she’d followed Marlena to the park. Marlena warned her that she’d never forget what Kristen had done to her and John. When Kristen offered her hand in apology, Marlena absolutely refused and warned her nemesis that if she crossed the line, she would go after her.
Assuming Kristen won’t remain on the straight and narrow for long; Days of Our Lives seemed to be laying the groundwork for some fantastic future confrontations.
At the coffee house, T (Brendan Coughlin) apologized to Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) in what Will called “his own way.” The boyfriends gave T a hard time about a girl he was interested in. Will later tried to explain how T worked, but Sonny wasn’t interested in trying to understand the mind of a straight man.
The conversation turned to how much more difficult it is for straight people when they discover someone close to them is gay. Naturally, this led to the importance of coming out and its positive impact on gay marriage. Sonny shocked Will by saying, “Let’s get married.”
The expression on Will’s face was hilarious. It was a look that said: “I just came out of the closet. You’re my first boyfriend, we’ve been dating for a short time and you want us to get married?” Will seemed extremely relieved when he realized Sonny was only joking. He said he wants people to have the right to marry. However, Will wasn’t sure if he ever would say “I do” due to his parents track record.
Dr. Hairy Chest (Shawn Christian) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) argued about whether Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) was really responsible for the death of Nicole’s baby. When Daniel insisted something wasn’t right with the story, Nicole pushed back hard. Later, Jennifer showed up at Nicole’s hospital room and the two quickly started arguing.
Kate (Lauren Koslow) dropped by John’s (Drake Hogestyn) office and promptly insisted it was a bad idea for Sami (Alison Sweeney) to hire Nick (Blake Berris). She tried to suggest that hiring Nick would put a bad light on Marlena's reputation, but John brushed her argument aside. John thought Kate was acting more than a little hypocritical.
