No. 10: Molly and TJ, General Hospital

General Hospital has been giving us cute teen couples since Laura (Genie Francis) and Scotty (Kin Shriner). In 2012, the tradition continued when precocious Molly Lansing Davis (Haley Pullos) fell hard for TJ (Tequan Richmond), the wayward charge of Shawn (Sean Blakemore). Molly and TJ have survived parental interference, hormones and toxic water, but can the YA lovebirds contend with Todd Manning (Roger Howarth) and Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan), now that they're interning at Manning Enterprises?

No. 9: Clint and Viki, One Life to Live

After decades of trials, tribulations, children, divorces and multiple personalities, it was only fitting that Clint Buchanan (Jerry verDorn) and Viki Lord (Erika Slezak) reunited at the end of One Life to Live. Fresh from botched romances with Charlie Banks (Brian Kerwin) and Kim Andrews (Amanda Setton) respectively, Viki and Clint were both worse for the wear.

Just when they thought their last chances at love had passed them by, fate—and whackadoodle Alison Perkins (Barbara Garrick)—brought them back together. As a bonus, Clint learned both of Viki's twins were his biological daughters. Talk about happily ever after!

No. 8: Brady and Kristen, Days of Our Lives

This sinfully-delicious couple didn't come into play on Days of Our Lives until late 2012, but we say better late than never! We were really starting to fear the popular Eileen Davidson's return was about to be a bust — like so many of DAYS' recent big returns. However, when TPTB decided to put Davidson's dastardly Kristen Blake DiMera in Brady Black's (Eric Martsolf) orbit, Kristen's return went straight from a miss to the hit parade!

Having the woman who stopped at nothing to keep John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) apart in the 90's sleep with John's son in 2012 was a stroke of soap operatic genius. We've already witness Marlena's stunned response, now we can't wait to watch John smell the fart when he learns about Bristen!

No. 7: Victor and Nikki, The Young and the Restless

Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) have broken up and reunited more times than we can count on The Young and the Restless. Yet, in 2012, this perennial, will-they-or-won't-they duo's reunion was one of the precious few reasons to tune in.

While Nikki's five-minute reunion with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) left us wanting more in 2012; Victor's disgusting dalliance with daughter-in-law Sharon (Sharon Case) had us reaching for our remotes — not to mention barf bags! After all that madness, Y&R fans desperately needed the stabilizing force of Nikki and Victor's legendary love. We do have a word of caution for Y&R in 2013 and beyond: Do not break them up again!

No. 6: Jason and Elizabeth, General Hospital

As if we needed any more proof that disgraced ABC Daytime exec Brian Frons has left the building, Liason was back in 2012! The micromanager who forced an end to Liason's love story on General Hospital wasn't around to stop Jason (Steve Burton) from leaning on Liz (Rebecca Herbst) when his marriage to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) began to crumble. While we actually sided with Sam during their bust up (Who resents his wife for possibly becoming pregnant via rape?!), we can't say we didn't swoon when Jason stole a couple of kisses from Liz.

Alas, Burton's real-life decision to leave to the sudser—and TPTB needing to quickly wrap up the baby switch caper—led to an abrupt end for Liason 3.0. We still appreciate the effort! Besides, Steve-O has to get bored in Tennessee at some point and come home to Port Charles, right?

No. 5: Bill and Katie, The Bold and the Beautiful

Bill Spencer Jr. (Don Diamont) is a first rate ass on The Bold and the Beautiful. He manipulates everyone in his life, from his employees at Spencer Publications, to Hope's (Kimberly Matula) bio dad Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), to his lovelorn son Liam (Scott Clifton) — especially Liam.  However, there is one woman who can see through his bull in a China shop routine, his wife Katie (Heather Tom) Logan Spencer.

Katie brings out a side of Bill we rarely see. Whether it was him expressing his fear of losing Katie, should her pregnancy have gone wrong; or the desperate measures he took to find her when she split amid postpartum depression, it was evident that Bill would do anything for Katie in 2012. We're just wondering if "anything" includes staying away from her red-hot sister Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) in 2013?

No. 4: EJ and Will, Days of Our Lives

The sexiest couple in soaps in 2012 never even consummated their scorching affair. That certainly didn't stop legions of EJill fans from writing NSFW fan fic about the Days of Our Lives pairing!

We don't know who told James Scott to play EJ "owning" his "slave" William (Chandler Massey) like the kinky freak who spanks the coed in Fifty Shades of Gay, er Grey, but we'd like to send him or her a gift basket. Additionally, Massey looked as if he wanted EJ to sop him up with some tea and crumpets, every single time they shared a scene. We knew DAYS wouldn't have the balls to go there, but boy-oh-boy was the teasing fun!

No 3: Adam and Chelsea, The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless made a smart move in pairing sexy grifters Adam Newman (Michael Muhney) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) in 2012. By building first a friendship, then a love affair for Chadam, Y&R managed to save Chelsea from becoming yet another boring, cookie cutter, lady psycho (Daisy, anyone?)

From the moment he saved her from that icy pond (What is it with people in this town and frozen bodies of water?), we started rooting for Chelsea to thaw Adam's heart, and thaw she did. Too bad Sharon (Sharon Case) had to go setting it—and the Newman Ranch—on fire!

No. 2: Carly and Todd, General Hospital

When One Life to Live's Roger Howarth crossed over to General Hospital as Todd Manning, we were still hoping for a reunion with his Llanview lover Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva). Yet the moment the roguish publisher crossed paths with Carly Corinthos-Jacks (Laura Wright), we found ourselves chanting: "Tarly, Tarly, TARLY!"

Whether as pals, partners-in-crime or lovers, Tarly simply works. We just hope Carly is in a forgiving mood—and remembers all the nasty stunts she's pulled in the past—once she learns Todd really did switch her pal Jason's (Steve Burton) baby, and has known about Johnny (Brandon Barash) killing Starr's (Kristen Alderson) young family for months!

No. 1: John and Sam, General Hospital

As a rule, lightning never strikes twice when soap couples are reunited on different daytime dramas. Rules were meant to be broken on General Hospital in 2012, when Port Charles alums Michael Easton and Kelly Monaco re-ignited their insatiable chemistry on GH. As vengeful cop John McBain, and pregnant rape victim Sam McCall Morgan, Easton and Monaco proved every bit as hot as vampire rocker Caleb and his bitchy, fang-banger, gal pal Livvie from PC.

McBain was there for Sam when her emotionally-stunted hubby Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) couldn't be. Unfortunately for John, his connection with Sam cost him his Llanview-based family, as Natalie Buchanan (Melissa Archer) ended their relationship and banned him from their son's life! Judging from the way he still looks at Sam, we'd say McBain thinks the sacrifice was worth it. Besides, Sam's mama Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is the best attorney in soaps. (Sorry, Nora!)
