DWTS Featuring Ingo Rademacher and Nathan Fillion's Castle Help ABC Win Monday Night
Programs starring daytime suds alums helped ABC win the Monday night ratings race. On the strength of the Season 16 premiere of Dancing With the Stars (featuring General Hospital's Ingo Rademacher) and an episode of Nathan Fillion starrer Castle, ABC bested original lineups on rival networks.
According to a press release, ABC beat CBS by 6.9 million viewers and by 17 percent among adults 18-49 on Monday night. DWTS was up over its Season 15 premiere by 19 percent in total viewers and by 24 percent in Adults 18-49.

The reality series snagged the title of second most-watched unscripted telecast this season. DWTS also reportedly delivered ABC’s biggest audience and second highest adult 18-49 rating in the two-hour time period since April 23, 2012.
Castle toppled Hawaii Five-0 on CBS and NBC's Deception to win the 10 pm timeslot among viewers and young adults.
